On days when I don't feel like doing anything I try to relax and do things that distract me so I don't die of boredom (although a small part of me tells me that I should do something productive...), yesterday for example, it was Sunday, and for me that day of the week is usually very boring and monotonous, but despite that I felt like painting a little.
Before painting I looked for some images on google to help me get inspired, in the end I decided on a couple of simple designs that would look great on a small canvas I found; my intention with these paintings (if they turned out well) was to place them on some wall in my room.
Process:
The first thing I did was to paint the background of the canvas with very light tones, one in light pink, and the other in yellow.
I had to apply two or three coats of each color so that the brushstrokes would look uniform on the surfaces.
With other colors in pastel shades I painted some shapes so that the space would not be so empty.
Once the paint was dry I took a pencil and drew a flower and some leaves around it. The one on the left is a daisy, the one on the right, poppies.
Time to outline the outline of the flowers with black paint.... This part made me a little nervous, because since this is a line drawing, the ideal is that the lines are as neat as possible, so I took a few breaths of air and fixed all my attention on trying to make it so.
My pulse failed me a little in the painting on the left, the first one I did xd.
To finish, I applied a few details on the flower petals and leaves, and also signed both works. I helped myself with a very thin brush, trying to be even more careful with the width of the lines I was drawing.
Final result:
It was very relaxing to do this pair of works, besides, I went a little out of my comfort zone. Although they are simple paintings, I had to pay special attention that the brush strokes were clean, something I usually don't take so much care.

En días donde no tengo ganas de hacer nada procuro relajarme y hacer cosas que me distraigan para no morir de aburrimiento (aunque una pequeña parte de mí me dice que debería hacer algo productivo...), ayer por ejemplo, era domingo, y para mí ese día de la semana suele ser muy aburrido y monótono, pero a pesar de eso me sentía con ánimos de pintar un poco.
Antes de pintar busqué algunas imágenes en google que me ayudaran a inspirarme, al final me decidí por un par de diseños sencillos que quedarían muy bien sobre un lienzo pequeño que encontré; mi intención con estas pinturas (si salían bien) era colocarlas en alguna pared de mi habitación.
Proceso:
Lo primero que hice fue pintar el fondo del lienzo con tonos muy claros, uno en rosa claro, y el otro en amarillo.
Tuve que aplicar dos o tres capas de cada color para que las pinceladas se vieran uniformes en las superficies.
Con otros colores en tonalidades pastel pinté algunas formas para que el espacio no estuviera tan vacío.
Una vez se secó la pintura tomé un lápiz y dibujé una flor y algunas hojas al rededor de las mismas. El de la izquierda se trata de una margarita, el de la derecha, amapolas.
Llegó la hora de delinear el contorno de las flores con pintura negra.... Esta parte me puso un poco nerviosa, pues al tratarse de un dibujo lineal, lo ideal es que las líneas queden lo más prolijas posibles, así que tomé unas cuantas bocanadas de aire y fijé toda mi atención en tratar que así fuera.
El pulso me falló un poco en la pintura de la izquierda, la primera que hice xd.
Para finalizar, apliqué unos cuantos detalles en los pétalos de las flores y en las hojas, y también firmé ambos trabajos. Me ayudé de un pincel muy delgado, tratando de ser más cuidadosa aún con el ancho de las lineas que trazaba.
Resultado final:
Fue muy relajante hacer este par de obras, además, me salí un poco de mi zona de confort. Si bien son pinturas sencillas, tuve que fijar especial atención en que el trazo con el pincel fuera limpio, cosa que generalmente no tomo con tanto cuidado.
