Entre las cartas de Splinterland me llamo la atención Sacred Unicorn, ya que soy amante de los unicornios. Es un personaje de gran poder de ataque, en su cuerno se haya una poderosa magia y con capacidad de sanarse a sí mismo, así que decidí escogerlo para realizar mi versión ilustrada.

Among Splinterland's cards, I am drawn to Sacred Unicorn, as I am a lover of unicorns. It is a character of great attack power, in its horn there is a powerful magic and with capacity to heal itself, so I decided to choose it to make my illustrated version.

Tomé como referencia la carta Sacred Unicorn para realizar el dibujo, sin embargo, no me gusta imitar el trabajo de otros artistas así que decidí darle mi toque personal haciendo mi propia versión del personaje.
Luego procedí a entintar con mi nuevo set de estilógrafos. Me encantó el acabado pero tuve que salirme de mi zona de confort y cambiar el trazo al que estaba acostumbrada al bolígrafo. Quiero acotar que para dibujar con estilógrafos el trazo debe ser rápido, seguro y continuo para que la línea quede bien. Lo que me gusta es que los estilógrafos vienen con diferentes tipos de puntas desde la 005 (más pequeña) hasta la 08 (la más grande) y se puede jugar con los tipos de línea. El resultado parece casi impreso. Lo ame 😻 y pues a todos los dibujantes y entusiastas del arte los animo a experimentar con los estilógrafos.
El siguiente paso fue aplicar el color, para ello use Prismacolor Premier, lápices de colores metalizados Faber Castell y óleo pastel Faber Castell para el fondo, ya que quería darle un color más intenso y brillante. El óleo pastel tiene la particularidad de tener colores con gran intensidad lo que los hace ideales cuando queremos hacer fondos que contrasten con la figura que estamos coloreando.

I took as a reference the Sacred Unicorn card to make the drawing, however, I don't like to imitate other artists' work so I decided to give it my personal touch by making my own version of the character.
Then I proceeded to inking with my new set of stylographs. I loved the finish but I had to go out of my comfort zone and change the line I was used to with the pen. I want to point out that to draw with stylographs the line must be fast, safe and continuous so that the line looks good. What I like is that the pens come with different types of tips from 005 (smaller) to 08 (larger) and you can play with the line types. The result looks almost printed. I love it 😻 and so I encourage all cartoonists and art enthusiasts to experiment with the stylographs.
The next step was to apply the color, for this I used Prismacolor Premier, Faber Castell metallic colored pencils and Faber Castell pastel oil for the background, as I wanted to give it a more intense and brighter color. Pastel oil has the particularity of having colors with great intensity which makes them ideal when we want to make backgrounds that contrast with the figure we are coloring.
