I focused on capturing a calm but intense expression in this portrait, using deep shading and texture strokes to bring out the strength in the eyes and beard. The contrast between light and shadow gave the drawing a bold and realistic feel while keeping the sketch raw and expressive.
Materials used: 12B sketch pencil on a sketch pad.
