I took a day off today. Being Saturday and also we had our mid term examination over day before yesterday, so nothing important going to happen in school. I also needed some break to regroup myself for our final term. The transition phase from one term to another took a lot of effort and many new things happen. I utilize my day for another piece of drawing. This time it took a lot of effort & time, than usual. But at the end it made me happy with the outcome. I made a drawing of an Indian Women
As usual, I began the drawing proces with sketching with my HB pencil on a piece of white sheet. With enough time in hand, i made sure to represent a better state of womenhood. And I opted to draw the sketch with the help of grid lines. The blocks created with the help grid lines on a white sheet paper helps in proper measurment and helps is centering the images. this is my own thought
It took a lot of time, in getting the final output. I erased it number of times, I made changes number of times. And finally able to sketch the face besutifully. Then I start colouring the sheet. But before doing so, i made sure to erase all the extra lines from.the sheet. As said before transition phase is not easy. Likewise getting my desired result asked more of my effort.
I also need to give a proper skin tone to make resemble like a real women. I started colouring every bit of it. From face tone to hair.
In between I had little fun too. Taking my breakfast and also enjoying some chocolate ice cream. But in all those times the image of the women keep circulating in my eyes and i keep deciding the different look that I wanted to give her.
May be, somewhere back of the mind I had my Mom's image and what comes out finally is similar to her look.
She partially looks like my Mom and partially looks like my class teacher. Hybrid piece of two female in my life. But I am happy with the outcomes. As I able draw, what I have in back of my mind. The transition from sketchwork to Colourful painting
How do you rate this transition??
