Friends! Happy New Year to all of you!
I am so happy and at the same time so sorry to get back to drawing and publishing.
The month of December was really hard for me. Full of work and family meetings.
My art for that time of closure and I longed to return ... but the lack of time would not let me.
Here I am! And I wanted to share with you this time, a drawing process of one of my favorite characters.
Kui, Topu and Push Push are on their way!
Previously I showed you a little bit of these characters, but today I want to show you the whole process that it took me to make these little friends! ✨🧡
Amigos! Feliz Año Nuevo para todos!
Me siento tan feliz y a la vez tan apenada de volver a retomar el dibujo junto a las publicaciones.
Realmente el mes de diciembre para mi fue algo muy duro. Lleno de trabajo y de juntas familiares.
Mi arte por ese tiempo de cerro y ansiaba volver.. pero la falta de tiempo no me dejaba.
Acá estoy! Y les quería compartir en esta ocasión, un proceso de dibujo de uno de mis personajes preferidos.

Anteriormente mente les mostré muy por encima estos personajes, pero el día hoy quiero mostrarles el proceso entero que me tomo hacer estos pequeños amigos!
The first thing I will be doing will be the sketch.
Design the character of Kui on traditional paper. From there I drew the pose I wanted to use and designed the overall concept.
Then I moved it to the drawing program and started to draw the line with a sketch brush.
Lo primero que estaré haciendo será el boceto.
Diseñe el personaje de Kui en papel tradicional. De allí saqué la pose que quería usar y diseñé el concepto en general.
Luego lo pase al programa de dibujo y empecé a realizar la línea con un pincel de boceto.
Next I will start with the color palette, my favorite part.
I used the typical colors of this character, colors that you may already know from past posts.
Feel that these colors define the character and the concept in general very well.
Warm colors with greenish touches, cold but not so cold... it sounds funny but that's how it is.
I'll start applying them flat to my sketch.
Then the details will come.
A continuación empezaré con la paleta de color, mi parte preferida.
Use los colores típicos de este personajes, colores que ya ustedes sabrán por las publicaciones pasadas.
Siente que estos colores definen muy bien al personaje y a el concepto en general.
Colores cálidos con toques verdosos, fríos pero no tan fríos… suena gracioso pero así es.
Los empezaré aplicando de manera plana a mi boceto.
Después vendrán los detalles.
Details!
The longest and most painful part of my illustrations, the process can take up to two days, making pure detail with this brush. But by publishing it, it looks like a simple and quick step to do.
This is the last step... until I can get a satisfactory result.
With a watercolor brush and a crayon brush, you can get such a wonderful result.

La parte más larga y dolara de mis ilustraciones, el proceso puede durar hasta dos dias, haciendo puro detalle con este pincel. Pero al publicarlo, pareciera un paso sencillo y rápido de hacer.
Este es el último paso.. hasta poder obtener un resultado satisfactorio.
Con un pincel de acuarela y otro de crayón, se puede obtener tan maravilloso resultado.
After having the base details done, I will move on to the minor details, details that will give a much more finished result.
The outline.
I will be doing it with the same sketch brush, this time increasing its saturation and color.
I will be doing this process in the three small illustrations.
I will increase the saturation in general and I will add small details that maybe were missing.
Después de tener la base de detalles hecha, pasaré al paso de detalles menores, detalles que darán un resultado mucho más acabado.
El delineado.
Lo estaré realizando con el mismo pincel para boceto, esta vez aumentando su saturación y color.
Estaré haciendo este proceso en las tres pequeñas ilustraciones.
Aumentare la saturación en general y agregaré pequeños detalles qué tal vez faltaron.
A little light!
And it's ready. Fun to redraw these characters. I drew it a couple of months ago, but looking back at the process and all that went into making these little characters is really fun and interesting to see.
