Hello hivers, an happy Tuesday to you all!
Yesterday I teached art to the kids of the art class in my lab room and, as I wrote in my previous content, I introduced them the famous painter Pablo Picasso. Just to know, Picasso is absolutely one of my favorite artists, because thanks his work he teached to everyone that to make art is not just techniques but also imagination and his artworks help us to understand we can represent what we have around and our feelings in a different way. An artist who never stopped himself to improve his skills and his imagination, year by year, style by style, from the Blue Period to the Cubist one.
I talked about it to the kids to say them that art is not just to draw something in a realistic style (kids, sometimes, seem to be a little sorry if their drawings are not similar to the real subject), but art is also a way to represent something different. During my lessons with them I try to teach them the basic techniques in a funny way and, at the same time, to help them to improve their imagination. In the past I met a lot of people who loved to draw when they were young and after they stopped to do it because they thought to be no good enough to draw, so I also try to teach to the kids that to make art is not just to have an excellent techniques, but they can use art to express themselves. ❤️
This morning, as usual, I woke up soon to work on a new artwork during the first hours of the day and I just finished to paint it so now I can show you the final result:
This is an artwork of the series about "special" vase with tiny scenes about home.
It's an oil colors painting on 200 gsm paper in A4 size and, as usual, I took some pics while I was painting it so you can see the process too:
Soon I'll add this new artwork to my Saatchi and Etsy shops (link at the bottom), hoping it will find a new home!
