An happy Tuesday to you all! Sunny day here and everything looks so brilliant around. Thanks the little rain during the previous days it's not so hot and the plant in my backyard are not so dry. The female blackbirds who use to take some cat food from my door are coming here since the morning to the afternoon and yesterday, for the first time, a magpie took some cat foods too! It looks my door to the backyard became a bird's restaurant. :D
Today I'm here to show you a new "head" I just finished. As I wrote in some of my previous contents, I'm working on a group of large articulated paper dolls for my next solo exhibition. Heads, legs, arms and bodies to compose a series of characters of mine. I like the idea to have them between my artworks, they will give some movements and colors between an artwork and another piece and I'm pretty sure people who will visit my exhibition will appreciate them. _
You can see the "head" in the following pic:
The woman has a tiny scene about home on her black hair and I added a delicate white lace around her neck. _
Now I'm working on the oter parts of this paper dolls, so stay tuned to see her in a complete way. _
It's an oil painting on around 400 gsm paper and, as usual, I took some pics while I was painted this head on my small working table so you can see the steps of the process too:
I hope you like it!
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia
