There are a lot of different lyrics in the world against the war. Lyrics to hope in the peace, lyrics that give a voice to all people who want to leave a quiet, normal life with no bombs from the sky. Here in Italy we use the title of an old italian song to say no to the wars: "Mettete dei fiori nei vostri cannoni" (it means: Put flowers in your cannons) played by I Giganti as a sort of proposalmore than 50 years ago .
Thinking about the people who are suffering now, the only thing I can do is to use my art to say my own "no" to the war and to represent my hearth close to the Ukraine people:
As you can see, the subject is one of my ladies in the colors of the Ucrain flag with a lot of flowers around instead of the bombs.
It's an oil painting on 200 gsm paper in A5 size and, as usual, I took some pics during the process:
