Hello hivers, an happy Friday to you all!
Yesterday there was a strong rain storm in my region (Tuscany, Italy). Fortunately here in my city there was not damages and no flooding, but in some villages and towns close to me the situation was really hard. The streets became like rivers along those villages and some houses were full of water, it was a bad situation, but now the weather looks ok and it's time to clean and to adjust things.
Yesterday, while outside of my windows I could see the storm, I thought to paint something about it.
In my lab I had an old canvas of mine where some years ago I exercised my hands in the William Turner (a famous English painter of the past) style. The result of the exercise was not so good and so yesterday I decided to use that canvas as a background for something new in my own illustrative style and you can see the final result in the following pics:
The title is "Thinking about a sea storm". I was inspired by the paintings of turner about sea storms and, as you can see, I added a small boat and a small lighthouse on the hair of the woman.
It's an oil painting on canvas sized sized 30 cm x 40 cm (11.8" x 15.7") and, like I use to do, I took some pics while I was painted her so you can see the process too:
When it willbe dried enough I'll add this new artwork to my Artfinder shop (link at the bottom)!
I hope you like it!
See ya soon and stay safe,
Silvia
