Here is a strange test of media, alcohol markers, graphite, ink and pastel for this #trippythursday
I will eventually have all the pebbles finished like the middle one. Then I'll probably spray it with fixative and add some more lights and darks with color overlays.
Here they are with some white pastel pencil highlights.
This has marker shadows added.
Here you can see the alcohol marker underpainting with my extra wide markers.
This shows the inking via my Coptic waterproof markers so that the alcohol markers don't smudge.
I am liking these fat alcohol markers. You can really fill up an area quickly with not too much variance. Great for background to draw over.
More process of inking and underpainting.
Now just the pebbles outlined in Copic ink.
I did a basic lead pen sketch of the shapes beforehand to get the balance of shapes.
Here are the Ohuhu extra wide markers. They are finally back in stock again.
My basic office lead pen for the top layer of shadows.
The kneaded erasure is great for adding highlights back after covering in graphite.
Here are some cheap pastel pencils, kinda messy but good for layering on. I am out of fixative so I'll be adding all these layers on soon. In the end I'm hoping for some nice multicolor pebbles with just enough shine on them.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
