Hello everyone! Tonight I want to show you how I'm recreating a drawing with a new interpretation. This is a drawing I did some time ago for an art exhibit at university. I wanted to refocus on details I want to refine and other ways I could have added more detail.

The drawing is an interpretation of a woman in a large llanero dress, a traditional Venezuelan costume. My main idea was that she would wear a very large dress, allowing me to add drawings that simulated embroidery on the fabric. The drawings represented flora, culture, and fauna.
I chose to depict a woman because I wanted to highlight the beauty of the eastern region of the country, since Anzoátegui is also known as the "Sun of the East." I also wanted to emphasize, in addition to our culture, our beautiful beaches, which are protected reserves—stunning and crystal clear. That was one of the things I wanted to focus on, and now I want to show you my new approach 😎.
I don't have a wide variety of drawing and painting materials, but I can manage with what I have on hand. Among my supplies are mechanical pencils and graphite pencils for different textures, but with just a mechanical pencil and a good eraser, I can create a decent drawing. This time, I tried to improve my drawing of a dancer's pose; that's what I focused on. I made light strokes so that if I made a mistake, I wouldn't leave smudges and could achieve a cleaner, more finished look.
Once I had the body sketch, it was easier to mark where the details of the dress, hair, and other elements would go. As I added more details, I went into greater detail. That's just how I am when I draw; even in my chaos, I have a system. But believe me, I really want to draw like a professional. I find it easier to start from the top because it has more detail.
I still sometimes struggle with drawing eyes and hair, not to mention hands, but I see that this time it's better. I still feel I should do better, but it's coming along, and I've already gone over it with the marker, so there's no going back. The flowers are hibiscus; I love those flowers, and the colors are beautiful. They come in many colors here in my town. I was told I could sell my drawings on a website, but even then, they don't feel very professional; they need something more.
With the project somewhat underway, I focused on the details of the dress. At the bottom of the dress, I added some scribbles that looked like embroidery or lace. I also added several prints that simulated the water of beaches and rivers, as well as coconut palms, which brought back memories because when we went to the beach, we knew we were arriving because we would start to see many coconut palms.
On one side of the dress, I'll draw the sun, with sunbeams and everything. I'll stop the drawing here because it's getting dark, but I'll continue tomorrow. ¡Hola a todos! Esta noche quiero mostrarles cómo estoy recreando un dibujo con una nueva interpretación. Este es un dibujo que hice hace algún tiempo para una exposición de arte en la universidad. Quería volver a centrarme en los detalles que quiero perfeccionar y en otras maneras en que podría haber añadido más detalles.

El dibujo es una interpretación de una mujer con un gran vestido llanero, un traje tradicional venezolano. Mi idea principal era que llevara un vestido muy grande, lo que me permitió añadir dibujos que simulaban bordados en la tela. Los dibujos representaban flora, cultura y fauna.
Elegí representar a una mujer porque quería resaltar la belleza de la región oriental del país, ya que Anzoátegui también es conocida como el "Sol del Este". Además de nuestra cultura, también quise destacar nuestras hermosas playas, que son reservas protegidas: impresionantes y de aguas cristalinas. Esa era una de las cosas en las que quería centrarme, y ahora quiero mostrarles mi nuevo enfoque 😎.
No tengo una gran variedad de materiales de dibujo y pintura, pero me las arreglo con lo que tengo a mano. Entre mis materiales hay portaminas y lápices de grafito para diferentes texturas, pero con solo un portaminas y una buena goma de borrar, puedo hacer un dibujo decente. Esta vez, intenté mejorar mi dibujo de la pose de una bailarina; en eso me centré. Hice trazos suaves para que, si me equivocaba, no dejara manchas y pudiera lograr un acabado más limpio y profesional.
Una vez que tuve el boceto del cuerpo, fue más fácil marcar dónde irían los detalles del vestido, el cabello y otros elementos. A medida que añadía más detalles, los iba perfeccionando. Así soy yo al dibujar; incluso en mi caos, tengo un sistema. Pero créanme, realmente quiero dibujar como una profesional. Me resulta más fácil empezar desde arriba porque tiene más detalles.
Aún me cuesta dibujar ojos y cabello, por no hablar de las manos, pero veo que esta vez está mejor. Siento que debería hacerlo mejor, pero va progresando, y ya lo repasé con el rotulador, así que no hay vuelta atrás. Las flores son hibiscos; me encantan esas flores, y los colores son preciosos. Aquí en mi ciudad hay de muchos colores. Me dijeron que podía vender mis dibujos en una página web, pero aun así, no se ven muy profesionales; necesitan algo más.
Con el proyecto en marcha, me centré en los detalles del vestido. En la parte inferior, añadí unos garabatos que parecían bordados o encaje. También añadí varios estampados que simulaban el agua de playas y ríos, así como palmeras de coco, lo que me trajo recuerdos porque cuando íbamos a la playa, sabíamos que estábamos llegando porque empezábamos a ver muchas palmeras de coco.
En un lado del vestido, dibujaré el sol, con rayos y todo. Dejaré el dibujo aquí porque está oscureciendo, pero continuaré mañana.
