It's now September 29 in my place... and on this date 31 years ago, my parents got exchanged their vow of forever. I really like my parents' love story and I'm excited to celebrate this day with them later. Yes, later since it's still 2AM here. haha
A while ago, I decided to paint them something as one of my gifts for them. I was able to give it to them and they were actually pretty happy with it. I'm glad they like it. So now, allow me to share it with you guys. :)
I started by preparing the materials that I'm using like the watercolor, brushes, pencil and eraser and of course the watercolor pad with some masking tape on each side.
I then started doing some outline sketches before painting the background. I'll be doing a much detailed sketch later on. I actually didn't know what approach I'd be using since I usually just do trial and error, but this is a much detailed piece, but we'll see. lol
I painted the background with some shades of green, blue and gray. I didn't paint the main subject because I was afraid my outline sketch would be covered or it would be difficult to color once I placed a certain color of paint on it. Afterwards, I started with the detailed sketches.
Now that I'm done with the main subject, it's time to do the background. Yes, I'm doing the background! haha I'm not really good at creating backgrounds and stuff, but since I started practicing painting more diligently these days, I thought I could pull it off. So, here you go. :)
And it's done! Let's just take out the tapes surrounding the painting and add my username and signature. :) Here are various angles. ^^
