The sun was high, relentless. There was hot dust and the salty breath of the sea in the air.
I tako je nastala „Vruća plaža“, akvarel koji sam naslikala gotovo u dahu, kao da sam želela da uhvatim trenutak pre nego što ispari sa horizonta.
And that's how "Hot Beach" was born, a watercolor that I painted almost in my breath, as if I wanted to capture the moment before it evaporated from the horizon.
Odzvanja mir i tišina. Svež morski vazduh se širi kroz pluća ljudi koji su zaboravili na probleme.
Peace and silence echoes. Fresh sea air spreads through the lungs of people who have forgotten about their problems.
Zlatni pesak postaje identičan prisutnim zlatu...
The golden sand becomes identical to the gold present...
Na slici su pesak koji pecka tabane, šareni suncobrani pod kojima se sklanjaju siluete ljudi, pena koja prska po gležnjevima, i more – ono veliko, plavo, razigrano.

Tu je i vidikovac, svedok gužve i bezbrižnosti, malo izdignut iznad svakodnevice, kao da posmatra sve sa blagim osmehom.
There is also a lookout point, a witness of the hustle and bustle, slightly elevated above the everyday, as if observing everything with a gentle smile.
Bilo mi je važno da uhvatim ne samo prizor, već i osećaj, lepljivu kožu, smeh u talasima, šuškanje peškira...
It was important for me to capture not only the sight, but also the feeling, the clammy skin, the laughter in the waves, the rustling of the towels...
...i onu letnju usporenost kad se vreme topi zajedno sa sladoledom.
