Hola, amigos de esta gran comunidad, espero que estén muy bien.
Hace unos días terminé un dibujo que, sinceramente, considero uno de mis mejores resultados hasta ahora. Se trata de Akaza, un personaje del anime Demon Slayer.
Al principio, Akaza no era de mis personajes favoritos, pero después de ver la película que se estrenó hace poco, mi percepción sobre él cambió completamente. La historia y su desarrollo me impactaron tanto que sentí la necesidad de dibujarlo. Fue una experiencia muy bonita, ya que mientras lo hacía sentía una gran inspiración y una motivación genuina, como si tuviera la obligación de que este dibujo quedara realmente bien.
Hace un tiempo incluso publiqué un post hablando de las emociones que me transmitió esa película, aunque no tuvo el apoyo que esperaba. Sin embargo, me esforcé mucho en escribirlo desde el corazón, tratando de expresar los sentimientos que me dejó la historia. Si les gustaría leerlo, dejaré el enlace para que puedan verlo.

Para realizar este dibujo utilicé marcadores acrílicos, los cuales me recomendó un amigo. Él me comentó que son muy buenos, aunque algo complicados para degradar los colores correctamente. Y tenía razón: al principio fue difícil lograr los degradados, ya que la tinta seca rápido, pero con práctica descubrí que el truco está en difuminar justo antes de que seque el marcador.
Tuve algunos problemas para encontrar los tonos exactos que dieran el contraste que buscaba, pero al final logré combinarlos de una forma que me dejó muy satisfecho con el resultado. Creo que es uno de esos dibujos en los que uno siente que realmente avanzó como artista, y eso me hace sentir muy feliz.
Cualquier consejo o crítica constructiva que puedan darme será muy bien recibida. Mi objetivo es seguir mejorando cada día y aprender de cada trazo.

A few days ago, I finished a drawing that I honestly consider one of my best results so far. It’s a drawing of Akaza, a character from the anime Demon Slayer.
At first, Akaza wasn’t one of my favorite characters, but after watching the recently released movie, my perception of him completely changed. His story and emotional depth really struck me, and I felt so inspired that I decided to draw him. It was a beautiful experience because, as I worked on it, I felt a strong motivation and a sense of purpose, as if I had to make this drawing look good no matter what.
Some time ago, I even made a post where I talked about the emotions that this movie made me feel, though it didn’t get as much support as I hoped. For this drawing, I used acrylic markers that a friend of mine recommended. He told me they were really good but quite tricky to blend. And he was right! At first, it was difficult to achieve smooth gradients because the ink dries quickly, but after practicing, I discovered the secret — you need to blend the colors before the ink dries completely.
When I started working on Akaza, I couldn’t find the perfect colors to create the contrast I wanted, so I simply chose the ones that seemed most suitable. In the end, I was very happy with the result. It’s one of those drawings that make you feel like you’ve truly improved as an artist, and that’s something I’m proud of.
