I know I've been posting quite a lot of posts lately regarding changes with posh and ocd but this was an important one I wanted to get out so we can move quick with the changes.
Over the years we've been quite actively discouraging people to post within the OCD community since we've been wanting to boost usage of niche communities more actively. While many have been wanting to post within OCD for the amount of subscribers and readers we have we've only allowed a few posts to stay there if there were no other more fitting communities for the content, but we've welcomed cross-posts so the authors can still gain visibility from our readers.
After many years of this activity we're happy to announce that we've decided on what kind of niche we want for the OCD community!
We've thought about this a lot, what niche should we focus on to change the whole community into, something unique and that'll last a while. Something with more concrete rules so we don't have to be all "hmm this post could maybe fit into this community instead?" but can now just mute them instantly pointing to a rule that says this community is for these kinds of posts only!
Unfortunately this means we're going to have to let go of all support of the current niche communities in our incubation so we can shift 100% focus on our own community. :/
After a long time we've now decided on what that niche is, funny because we've often been getting users who joined our discord or hive subreddit looking for the niche and completely unaware of what Hive is but we just couldn't connect the dots. Until today!
The OCD community will now be only about Obsessive compulsive disorder
We firmly believe this change will bring mass adoption to Hive as we've witnessed many users coming to our Discord without anyone pushing them to join Hive to earn "free money that'll make you rich over night".
We'll be updating the side rules soon and already have some awesome weekly events planned for daily postings, some include:
Monday Madness: Only posts about checking and re-checking that your keys are unchanged and still safe in cold storage.
Tuesday Tidiness: Only posts about how you spend hours formatting your posts before you hit the publish button.
Wednesday Whales: Only posts about how whales are ruining the platform with their downvote wars.
Thursday Typing: Only posts about feeling the need to send links to curators and stakeholders in exchange for upvotes.
Friday Fixation: Only posts about obsessively checking and re-checking that you've replied and/or curated all comments you've received.
Saturday Sorting: Only posts about organizing your follower list in a certain arrangement and unfollowing inactive accounts.
Sunday Scrupulosity: Only posts about how you excessively worry about upvotes or lack thereof and whether one has offended a bigger stakeholder.
Please do let us know what you think about the changes, I'll be curating comments based on the user's reputation number and alphabetical order. Thanks!

! [Ending Note]
While this post is meant as a fun april fool's joke that may take a while for people to realize upon reading, it's not meant to make fun of the mental illness. The name of our project originally was created due to making use of delegation for efficient curation and was later renamed for original content decentralized to fit our vision better. We hope no one got offended by it.
