Something I don't think many are aware of and a discussion about a viewcounter recently sparked my interest to look into it since I don't really post that often lately to think about checking, is that offers pageview analytics of your account. That means that only you can check your pageviews, I can't go and check someone elses, so I figured if people would be up for sharing theirs, especially if you're a frequent poster. It'd be interesting to see as I personally think engagement has gone up a lot in general on Hive lately, not just looking at
's comments/post stats but generally looking at communities trending pages it seems to be doing a lot better, especially the niche communities.
For those who aren't aware, if you click on your username in the right corner on and hit dashboard, then click analytics and then "Views and visitors":
it'll give you some cool stats.
The initial question in the discussion was why no front-end publically shows a viewcounter on each post, I'm not really sure myself either though it would be interesting to have a dialogue about it at some point.
Maybe for another time, though.
Another interesting stat that would go along nicely to these would be to differentiate between views that come to your post from people already using peakd and those coming from outside to your post directly, i.e. from Twitter shares. Maybe
or
could weigh in if that's a possibility, would be nice.
Anyway, let's see some stats! Will upvote some comments of people brave enough to share their viewcounter page. :D
Short post so will forfeit the rewards through beneficiaries. Will try get back into posting more often very soon, got me a new laptop recently after my pc died and really enjoying typing on it compared to my mechanical keyboard which lets the whole neighborhood know I'm typing something.
