Here's a baseline quality nightscape. The ugly yellow lights were dealt with by adjusting the color temperature downwards in post processing. ISO 100, 20s, 1/6.3.
There is so much light pollution that it is quite hard to get rid of it without exposure stacking. I did what I could in post processing. I could've got more light in by widening the aperture but the stars were already dot-like enough. ISO 3200, 15s, 1/6.3.

I did some light editing to the last two to try and reduce the nasty yellowness of the street lights. But with low-light photography, fiddling with the white balance entails little margin for error.
