This species of Pantala hymenaea , the "spot-winged glider", is the only member of the Pantala genus of the Pantalinae subfamily. and this dragonfly is the most species on earth. This dragonfly has a length of up to 4.5 cm, wings stretching between 7.2 cm and 8.4 cm, the front side of the head is reddish-yellow.
Thorax is usually golden yellow colored with dark and hairy lines. There are also species with olive chocolate or thorax. The stomach has the same color as the chest.
