Hello to all dear friends and welcome back to my blog.

Today I share with you the latest watercolor painting with my favorite subject: the sea.

I show you a series of watercolor paintings that have different ways of representing the sea.

Ciao a tutti cari amici e ben tornati sul mio blog.
Oggi condivido con voi l'ultimo dipinto ad acquarello con il mio soggetto preferito: il mare.
Vi mostro una serie di dipinti ad acquarello che hanno differenti modi di rappresentare il mare.
La tecnica pittorica dell'acquarello è bellissima, luminosa e difficile allo stesso tempo, ma può dare grandi soddisfazioni.

The pictorial technique of watercolor is beautiful, bright and difficult at the same time, but it can give great satisfaction.

I start from the first, very simple, where you can see the white surface of the foam of the waves, which I left without color.

This time I integrated the painting with a thin-tipped marker graphics.

Parto dal primo, molto semplice, dove si evince la superficie bianca della schiuma delle onde, che ho lasciato senza colore.
Questa volta ho integrato il dipinto con una grafica a pennarello dalla punta sottile.

In the second watercolor you can observe the very free pictorial and compositional style, unlike the previous one it is almost abstract and free from the classical composition.

In this painting there is my mediation between the abstract technique of dark sails, against the light and the traditional painting technique of the sea and the background.

I searched for a contrast of shadows and lights, very delicate without exceeding the colors of the sea.

In questo dipinto c'è una mia mediazione tra la tecnica astratta delle vele scure, in controluce e la tecnica pittorica tradizionale del mare e dello sfondo.
Ho cercato un contrasto di ombre e luci, molto delicato senza eccedere nei colori del mare.

In this watercolor I wanted to give the strength of the colors of a sunset.
I used bright and contrasting colors, for example purple and orange, which are complementary.
A way of emphasizing and enhancing the colors between them with a play of chromatic contrasts.

In questo acquarello ho voluto dare la forza dei colori di un tramonto.
Ho usato colori accesi e in contrasto tra loro, ad esempio il viola e l'arancione, che sono complementari.
Un modo di enfatizzare e di esaltare i colori tra loro con un gioco di contrasti cromatici.

Now I propose a subject that I made with the classic watercolor painting technique.
We can say that this seascape is very close to the romantic representations of the nineteenth century.

Only the framing of the sailboat is more modern.

Adesso vi propongo un soggetto che ho realizzato con la classica tecnica pittorica dell'acquarello.
Possiamo dire che questo paesaggio marino è molto vicino alle rappresentazioni romantiche dell'Ottocento.
Soltanto l'inquadratura della barca a vela è più moderna.

In this sea port I tried to create a bright atmosphere with many warm colors, taking advantage of the transparency of the wet colors on the paper.
The light of the sky emerges very clearly and is reflected in the light of the sea.
To give a stylistic unity and a chromatic accord, I also painted part of the quay and pier with blue.

In questo porto di mare ho cercato di creare un'atmosfera luminosa con molti colori caldi, sfruttando la trasparenza dei colori bagnati sulla carta.
Emerge in modo molto evidente la luce del cielo che si riflette nel chiarore del mare.
Per dare una unità stilistica e un accrdo cromatico ho dipinto con il blu anche parte della banchina e del molo.

This painting has as its main subject a two-masted sailboat.

I tried to make it very dynamic, inclined on the waves that explode their strength with the Prussian and overseas blues.
The shot of light in the center illuminates the hull, highlighting the blue of the waves.

Questo dipinto ha come soggetto principale una barca a vela a due alberi.
Ho cercato di renderla molto dinamica, inclinata sulle onde che esplodono la loro forza con i blu di prussia e oltremare.
Il colpo di luce al centro ne illumina lo scafo, risaltando nel blu delle onde.

In the last painting I chose a shot on the surface of the water.

This subject is a watercolor that has presented many difficulties due to the white of the waves and the brightness of the sky.

There are many soft colors inside and I have tried to represent the force of the wind that lashes on the sea that lifts the foam from the crests.

Nell'ultimo dipinto ho scelto una inquadratura a pelo d'acqua.
Questo soggetto è un acquarello che ha presentato molte difficoltà per il bianco delle onde e il chiarore del cielo.
Ci sono dentro molti colori tenui ed ho cercato di rappresentare la forza del vento che sferza sul mare che solleva la schiuma dalle creste.
