Namaste
Lately (thanks to discovering 's Introduction and White Paper post) I've been imagining a network of cube/spheres. Each sphere has a cube within it with the corners of the cube touching the inner surface of the sphere (at eight points).
Level A Cube Spheres
This is the entry level, with multiple Cube/Sphere's (let's call them CS’s for brevity) arranged in groups of eight CS’s.
Level B Cube Spheres
The groups of eight level A CS’s are arranged in such a way that a larger Level B CS sits around them with it's eight touching points placed exactly in the centre of each of the eight CS’s in the level 1 group.
So now we have eight level A CS’s and one level B CS.
The diagram below depicts this to some extent, but it is not in 3D therefore only shows four Level A CS’s whereas there should be eight, but i expect you will get the idea.
If anyone would like to make a 3D representation i would be grateful (and the Matrix-8 Platform will reward you in tokens once it is up and running). Please comment below if you can help with this, or share with someone you think might be able to help.
Now we can replicate these Level B CS’s (each containing its own eight smaller Level A CS’s) so we have now have eight Level B CS’s each connected to eight Level A CS’s, making a total of 64 small Level A CS's and eight Level B CS's.
Level C Cube Spheres
Next we place an even larger (Level C) CS in such a position to contain these eight Level B CS's, again with it's points (where the cube corners touch the inner surface of the sphere) in the centre of each Level B CS.
So we now have one Level C CS, which contains eight Level B CS’s and sixty four Level A CS’s.
Replicate this level C CS so we have eight Level C CS’s, sixty four Level B CS’s, and 4096 Level A CS's.
For now let's add just one more even bigger CS at Level D, the touching points of which sit in the centre of the eight CS's of Level C.
Infinite Scaling
We can continue infinitely, but for now let’s leave it at just 3 levels. There is no limit to how many levels, and therefore how many level A CS’s there can be in this network.
But what could it be used for?
The Matrix-8 Platform - A Dynamic Structure in the form of a 3D FRACTAL ….
Imagine at each of the touching points of the Level A CS's (that is, at each corner of the cube within the sphere), there is a chair.
Members (anyone with a smartphone who has registered and been approved to join the network - approved to check they are a real, unique person) comes to sit one the chairs in their Level A CS group (known in the Matrix-8 platform as an 8-PAC, which stands for 8 People in Active Communication) on Level A.
Note: We may need to switch on our anti-gravity devices so those at the top don't fall into the laps of those below :-)
The quotes which follow are from the Matrix-8 White Paper
8 PEOPLE IN ACTIVE COMMUNICATION
Quantitatively, as a 3D Fractal, it is designed to standardly and equitably regulate the Democratic Process within large Groups – Groups too large for all of the Participants to sit around any one table. The size of the core, elemental Fractal I chose, is a group of 8. For discussions of what to do, 8 is not so numerous that an Individual will feel lost in a crowd. And it is not so few that it can be easily dominated by one strong personality. I have called these groups, 8 PAC's – 8 People in Active Communication. (And serendipitously, with 8 bits to the byte, it is in line with ease of programming.)”
Now if we have 3 full Levels as described above, with all the seats full ONLY in the Level A CS 8-PAC’s, there will be 4096 x 8 = 32,768 people..
THE DEMOCRATIC TRILEMMA [http://janlo.de/Project_Lorenz_2014.pdf]
The three horns of the Democratic Trilemma are:
- Inclusive Participation;
- Exhaustive Deliberation; and
- Rational Accords.
Academics tell us we can't have all three - only two at a time. This makes modern Democracies problematic.”
Imagine a group of 32,768 people having a group meeting to discuss a topic/project/problem in an attempt to come to an agreement for a course of action. It would be complete chaos. Not everyone (in fact hardly anyone) would be able to get their voice heard, to offer their opinion, or proposal, or suggestion about the topic/project/problem. It would not be possible for 1.Inclusive Participation, or
2.Exhaustive Deliberation or
3.Rational Accords
with a group so large.
However, The Matrix-8 Platform ….
takes the Democratic Process—as naturally practiced in small Groups—and applies them to Groups of any size. The matrix grows, not arithmetically: 8, 16, 24, 32, etc, but geometrically: 8, 64, 512, 4,096, etc. You can think of it in its simplicity as an ever-expanding Agreement Factory. It is an Internet Platform expediting the Democratic Process.
The easiest way to think about this Democratic Trilemma is to see that it is basically a problem of logistics. Pure Democracy works great – until there are too many Participants to sit comfortably around a council fire – or a big conference table. Deliberations breakdown when there are too many Participants for everyone to be heard. The best solution to date has been in Representative Democracies – but a quick scan of the headlines will let you know that that is not good enough. Wars, governmental intrusion, waste, and corruption, seem to be inescapable. My system solves the Democratic Trilemma, and it would go a long way in reducing governmental intrusion, waste, and corruption!
So, if instead of just one meeting of 32,768 people, each of the 4,096 Level A Cube/Sphere 8-PAC’s were to have a group meeting (with just 8 people in each meeting), it would be MUCH easier for everyone in each group to have their say, and to be able to come to a consensus of agreement, a rational accord.
Qualitatively, the Matrix-8 Platform mimics Human Nature. It focuses on and follows the same mechanics we use naturally in our small Groups of like-minded Individuals as we interact with others towards optimum actions. E.g.: You and 7 friends are sitting around the kitchen table deciding what to do that evening. Everyone chimes in with their opinions (and their opinions on their friends' opinions). After a while, when Deliberations have run their course, you as a Group reach an Accord: you agree to go eat Chinese, then go see a specific movie.”
What next?
We now have 4,096 rational accords. What good is that?
After each Level A 8-PAC has reached a rational accord, an agreement on the next step to take if you like, they will vote for a delegate from their group, to speak on behalf of the group in an 8-PAC's on Level B where 512 meetings will then take place to discuss, deliberate and reach a more concentrated accord based on the accords reached from the 8-PAC's they are speaking.
... the platform is designed to continually concentrate agreements, guarantees that no external Censorship will ever be needed. As back eddies to the general flow in an 8-PAC occur, those folks who disagree will be filtered out and reassigned to 8-PAC's where their views will be shared by their Peers. No one needs to be forced to stay within Groups with which they disagree. And no one needs to take any rejection personally – because no one knows who you are. Only the Data, and Ideas about how to implement that Data towards the Group's Goals, are debated. Those minority Participants shunted into their own 8-PAC's can continue their Deliberations with the hopes of getting something done according to their own particular set of agreements. Thus, as the Deliberations continue – the Value of the information discussed will continue to increase through refinement. This is strikingly different from the normal Chatroom environment.
The Level B 8-PAC's will again each elect a delegate who will take their accords to 64 8-PAC meetings on Level C, then finally 8 meetings on Level D, where a super concentrated accord will be reached.
Action will then be taken based on the agreement of 32,768 people.
I have been attempting here to describe in my own words (but using some extracts from the white paper) to describe in a more concentrated way how the Matrix-8 Platform works.
The White Paper however goes into much more detail and will answer many questions which may have come to you after reading this post.
Are you inspired?
If you are just the tiniest bit inspired by the possibilities of using such a system, and would like to help John and i move this forward to build a working platform on Steem, please take the time to read the Matrix-8 White Paper, resteem this post and resteem the white paper and make a comment below to share your understanding and thoughts.
We are particularly looking for developers to create the Matrix-8 Dapp, but also to create a list of inspired people who are ready to jump into seats as soon as it's ready. Don't worry, Anti-Gravity devices will be supplied.
Peace and Love to all
