I got to know of the Hive platform from my brother
Most time, I notice he is always on the Pc doing things on the internet. He calls himself a writer because he writes on hive. He told me about the platform a very long time ago but I refuse to join because of my fashion work and other jobs I do not until recently, he showed me other designers on the platform that does the same thing I do and it was then he explained properly to me and that got my interest. Since then, I have been in class taking lecture from him about doing this and don’t doing that, now I feel stressed but he told me if I give up on hive, he would give up on me generally.
My journey
I love drawing while growing up which has been a help for me as a fashion designer. I started the journey as a fashion designer at a young age, although I wasn't the best at what I do back then but I thank God for growth. I really love creating things with my hand which made me learn more things. I learned tye and dye (Adire) during my service year ( NYSC) in ekiti state. Oh! I also kit with yarn, I learned in it while I was in secondary school and I was able teach other with the skill I have currently.
I made the dress myself
I made the adire myself
During my service year in ekiti I served as a teacher, it wasn't that smooth because I had to take subject I am not really familiar with, there I learned how to go out of my field of study just to put smile on my students face.
I’m still new to the ecosystem and I’m still under my brother training, it wasn’t easy coming up with this post after submitting several post to him and he rejected it saying it is not good enough. I’m glad he isn’t taking the part out.
I’m new and inexperienced, so if there is anything you believe I should know, I don’t mind learning from you all. Please treat me like a baby that is just learning how to write. Also, I would like to thank for the hive delegation. He was the first person to welcome me here on hive before I made this post. My brother made a post about it on #InLeo and I was welcome there. Also, I would like to thank
for his kind words and welcoming arms too. Thank you.
Let’s be friends and share our experiences together, also help me beg my brother to teach me with kindness.
