Until yesterday, I really didn't know about Schrödinger's cat. For the past few days I don't know whether this was trending or not, but I saw this thing for quite a few times. I tried to dig into this matter. I have heard about Schrödinger's contribution towards the Quantum theory and his famous equation about the position of electron, but this one was new for me.
Lets have a look!
This experiment is a demonstration about the odd in behaviour of particles. A cat is placed inside a covered box with a radioactive sample creating 50% chance of killing the cat. Now as per quantum theory, a particle is supposed to be in different state simultaneously, the same should happen with the cat i.e the cat should be dead as well as alive simultaneously. But then, our common sense contradicts in the same as a cat cannot be dead as well as alive in the same time.
Thus, this is an odd phenomenon as large objects are also made up of particles only.
