"Where am I? is anyone there?", May cried out in fear as she turned around but she could see nothing. It was a dark unknown place with no voices heard.
Feeling so confused and scared she tried stretching her hands to find her away in the dark. As she tried moving her legs, she cried out in pain, apparently she had her hit her leg on something. Now feeling frustrated and in pain, she bent down to feel whatever it was she hit her leg on. However, all she could make out of it was a log of wood.
"How in the world did I get here? Where is everyone? Someone please help me", she said as tears tolled down her eyes. "How am I going to make my way out of here", she murmured to herself. "I wonder what I'd hit my leg on next, there may even be a ditch somewhere who knows. I don't want to die, someone please help me", she continued crying and praying for help.
"I am going to wait here till someone comes, I am sure the lights will come up at some point", she said trying to reassure herself. So she sat down on the floor, holding her legs together waiting in darkness for someone or a possible ray of light.
We find ourselves in a place or position where we can't remember how we got there. Not necessarily because you suddenly had amnesia but because you never knew the path you took was one towards a dark end. With the realization, you try to make your way back, you try to find a way out of that dark place you are in which could be a place of frustration, depression, doubt, insecurity and many more.
But as you try to find a way out you keep getting kicked down by obstacles on your path and it makes you feel like you can't make it. You feel it is too dark, you don't know how many obstacles are out there....the scar you got from the first is still there so you are feeling too scared to move from that spot.
Now listen, it is okay to be scared when you find yourself in an unfamiliar place, you do not want to be there but you find yourself there anyway. The next decision you make is the most important, Would you remain there or find a way out?.
What if there is no one around to help? Or what if the ones you are calling to help you are wrapped up in their problems? What if the lights never comes up? What if the big obstacle before you is the only thing you need to overcome?
Sometimes you need to push beyond your limit, find a way out of that place you don't want to be. Stop waiting for people, make a move. No one said it is going to be easy but with determination, you'd see the light at the end of the tunnel.
