In this article, we will look at the three best resources to invest in for dCrops. dCrops is a game built on Hive that has a farm world feel to it making for a low time commitment and possibility of great reward. I recently started playing after the announcement of the beta edition packs and have been really pleased with it so far. The process is very easy to start and a great place to put some extra Hive from blogging. With beta going live, I wanted to look deeper at three resources that are currently in the game or will be when Beta comes along and why I believe they will be three of the best cards to have in the game.
1. Land
Land cards are needed for anyone to play the game. This is the card you use to put your seeds and pretty much any other card in the game to produce your specific crop. It was announced that Beta will have only legendary land cards available making a supreme bottleneck in my opinion. As player growth improves, there will just not be enough land to fulfill people’s desires in my opinion which is why Land is my number one investment for the game. Naturally the higher the rarity the better however even the common and rare lands will be valuable for the future. At a current price of 1.40 USD for a common land plot, this is a great time to purchase these cards before the spike when beta packs sell out and new players join the game.
2. Recipes
Recipes are new to the game coming from the beta edition. You will need to burn one recipe in order to produce the specific item. Once you burn the recipe, you will always be able to cook whatever item the recipe provides. It will take further burning in order to get higher level recipes/items. The deflationary nature of recipes is where my interest is as the overall amount of recipes will continue to go down as the burning mechanism is used. I also believe that the cooked items will be worth significant crop shares given the resources needed to produce them as well as the recipe being burned.
3. Trees
Trees are the good old dividend investment play. Once trees grow, they will produce whatever fruit daily. They are also always planted so there is no mechanism needed to garner value except for selling the items you get. For the set it and forget it player, trees will be the cream of the crop investment card.
The timing to get into dCrops has never been better with beta pre-sale being live. As the game gains player growth, values will increase due to the rarity of the cards mentioned above as well as some of the burning mechanisms in the game.
