A normal day in our life. An ordinary day in my life. I have always believed that if each of us presents as much of our lifestyle, about the city and country where we live, then we will all know each other and understand each other better. Because we are so different and so far from each other and so we will find out and understand life as it is different.
I initiated, a year ago, a challenge called SAM, Something About Me. In the idea of saying more about us than in the few bio phrases. This way we will know better who we interact with. I can say that the response to SAM was beyond expectations and I had a participation not numerous but extremely interesting. I was impressed by my colleagues desire to say so many interesting things about them. Unfortunately, I couldn't keep up this challenge in my life ...
This is why I was extremely happy when I saw
Hive account@anomadsoul's proposal, because it looks like what we were doing in SAM. Because it is an opportunity to learn a lot about each other. Because it is an opportunity to learn a lot from each other.
Also, the support and sponsorship of this contest by
Hive account@ocd-witness and
Hive account@blocktrades will definitely increase the quantity and especially the quality of the participation.
A Day In The Life
With much pleasure I will try to illustrate as accurately as a recent day in my life, with the wish that the one who will read to manage to understand as accurately as life in Romania, in its capital, which is called Bucharest. In my neighborhood on the outskirts of the city, actually a suburb, New Bucharest.

You have to assign a source to the chosen title, "a day in the life". One of my favorite Beatles songs! The Beatles - A Day In The Life. A song to be listened.
Now I return to my present day, which begins with ... the sunrise. Sunrise means rebirth, a joy to me as a new day begins.

A few words about me: I am now retired and living with my wife, also retired. This fact allows us to have more free time, but not as much as we hoped. For me, every morning has two routines (I don't talk about the well known and followed by everyone, such as morning body hygiene), the first is to look through the window...

... and the second is the preparation of coffee. We are passionate about coffee. I noticed that lately coffee consumption has increased, it has become an almost global routine. Making coffee is my job. Last year I lived in another city and there I had a favorite cafe "Coffee Story" where I drank a wonderful coffee. Now, when we are back home, I try to make good coffee, as I drank last year in Iasi. For this I bought a machine to make milk foam. Milk foam makes a difference.

Coffee with milk foam drawing is not mine, it is a memory and a model. Hard to realise!
Then a simple breakfast: toast, cheese, eggplant salad and orange juice.

After coffee, this takes some time, at least an hour of discussion, we used to take a walk. First of all for health purposes, walking is the only sport we can do now. We are benefited by the fact that we live on the outskirts of the city, so we have many places where we can walk. Moreover, right next to our house we have a small and very beautiful park.

The walk usually lasts an hour, an hour and a half. We have to do about 10,000 steps, this is the norm we have chosen and different applications on the smartphone help us count. We don't succeed every day but we strive.
After the walk, which usually ends after ten o'clock, I'm already thinking about lunch. However, there is still an hour left for Steemit. At least to read more interesting posts, comments and feedback I received from what I wrote a day ago.

Hunger begins to make itself felt. It's time for lunch preparation. Anyone who knows me knows that I like to cook. Who doesn't know me now ... I like to cook. At home I cook about 80% of the food, to the delight of my wife. I really like to cook.

Today we eat fish. It's a healthy food I cooked ... unhealthy. I fried the fish in the oil bath. It is very tasty, it is prepared quickly but should be avoided after a certain age.
Relaxation. A few hours of relaxation. It usually happens that now, my wife is reading or watching TV and I'm on Steemit. For me it is not just relaxation, it is enough work to write a blog. My style of posting is with many photos, I want and hope that my blogs will be very visual, with many photos that replace even more words and that can be easier to understand.
So relaxation, in the living room, where I am active on Steemit but I also watch on TV, if something interesting happens.

I love relaxation, I would like to be relaxed all my life. Of course, that can't be. So the relaxation time is over and we have to go visit our son and, moreover, our niece Ilinca. Ilinca is 14 weeks old and because of her we are now grandparents!

In the near future, in the next few months, we will take care of Ilinca every day, because her mother will have to return to work. Busy days will come! This is why we need to take advantage of the free time we have now...
... to go to the theater!
I received two invitations from a friend. We go to the theatre. We are passionate about theater and opera and we go as often as we can.
Now we will see a classic piece, a comedy by Carlo Goldoni that is called "Servant to two masters". A comedy.

It was not the best play but it was a pleasant evening. It is nice to get out of the neighborhood and see the city lights. We don't do it very often, at most once a week.
This was my day. I didn't tell everything, it would have lengthened the story too much. I hope it will be interesting enough to read through to the end. Thanks. How was your day?

I once initiated a challenge called SAM ( #sam-saturday ). Something About Me. I thought it was good for our readers to know more about us and to understand better what we are posting. Well, SAM is dead but I still think it would be in everyone's interest to get to know each other better. This is the reason for the short presentation below!
- I am Dan and I live in Bucharest, Romania.
Born in 1954, married and retired. I worked in construction and banking system.
My passions: Art (film, music, photography, painting), Travel and even Cooking.
- Romania is the sixth largest country in the European Union. Unfortunately, due to over fifty years of communism (1947-1989) and a reluctant transition to capitalism (1990 and up to now), Romania is among the least economically and socially developed countries. I hope this will settle quickly in the near future.
Instead, it is one of the most beautiful countries in Europe!
