I'm a walker. Ever since I know myself, since I was a child I have liked to walk a lot. As I got older, I became more and more preoccupied with my daily work-related problems and had less and less time to walk.
If you want to do something then you find the necessary time but taboos, stress, fatigue and laziness often win the fight with the desire to walk.
For a while I accepted the situation but then I thought about how to solve this situation and return to the old habits.
I found the solution to the problem relatively quickly and for thirty years of my mature and family life I had ... dogs.
The best incentive for walking.
After thirty years of walking with the dogs I couldn't stand the partings anymore, I lost some good and loving dogs and at one point I said it was enough, after the last parting I didn't take a new dog.
My walks began to dwindle again just when I needed them most. For medical reasons.
She came like a sudden thunderbolt, total surprise. My granddaughter, Ilinca!
The reason for future walks. Because Ilinca needs to know the world, right?
There are mainly three walking places: the park next to the house with the most frequent walks. Herastrau Park, the most beautiful in the city but quite far away and the gardens of the Mogosoaia Palace, the most beautiful historical area near Bucharest.
This Sunday is for Mogosoaia Palace!
The palace was built by a former ruler of Wallachia, Constantin Brancoveanu. A tragic character in the history of Romania, he was beheaded with his four sons in Constantinople by order of the Sultan of the Ottoman Empire. Now the palace is a museum and the gardens form a huge park on the shores of Lake Mogosoaia.
This summer is hot and the secular trees and the lake cool the hot air a little. Here is the best place to walk little Ilinca.
The walking team, in fact Ilinca's servants are: my son (her father) and us (meaning grandparents).
I'm just a shadow, the man with the camera trying to show you how a ten-month-old girl discovers the world!
We quench our thirst and we have to observe our fellow walkers and their special vehicles.
How interesting it can be to see the lake, the forest, the flowers for the first time ...
... but grandma's glasses can be more interesting.
The walk through the dense forest was more awaited and cool. There are so many trees!
We are not the only walkers. Most people do all kinds of sports, especially on wheels. The space is generous.
The main purpose of movement, of walking is to lose weight, to consume calories. That's what we do every day, but Sunday is different. We always put back the calories consumed. First the little ones ...
... and later the mature ones. We can't help it.
The little ones also have the right to sleep. The beauty of the landscape still does not impress.
It was a beautiful and sublime Sunday. I think you can guess why it was sublime!
