A great age gave birth to this country. But, now he only found one generation of dwarves without the soul of fire in the heart. The power of the mind is easily subdued by material objects. The subject loses himself, immersed in the world of objects that makes him anonymous and impersonal, no longer has personality. Human relations with one another are understood as material relations. The warmth and love fade from heavy material strength. Our beliefs and selfishness as humans have disappeared on the horizon of the world. Indeed reality has no feelings. The coolies build big buildings and fancy malls, but the nursing home where he lives. The fishermen catch fish to educate the nation's children, but the slow growth and ignorance he found. The farmers plant rice to fill the stomachs of the land servants, but the hunger they experience. The results of this work are not for their own livelihood, but for foreign powers outside of themselves that make them. The more they develop work, the more physically and mentally uprooted. The inner life collides with perfecting the innermost nature of humanity. They also deserve to complain by showing the spirit of knowledge and justice as spokespersons, when will the spirit of the times break, bringing us to the altar of true freedom and glory? Is the universe really mute and deaf, don't know anything else? Is it true that this fertile country is suffering from an unrelenting curse? The vicious cycle of poverty, ignorance and violence, which has no purpose and no base, is a strong chain of fate for children in this country. When will salvation and deliverance greet our souls ripped apart by sharp reality? What must we do to make this country serve prosperity and prosperity? Is it true that a country can change? Is it only enough to hope that the country will change, or do we need to force it to take up firearms? Will the wind of change blow on our side? And, how to welcome changes that are always opposed by forces that do not want us, the poor and coolies to get self-improvement? Where should we rebuild this community and country?
Historical Materialism Karl Marx (1818-1883), in his book German Ideology, who first formulated that the way humans produce to meet their basic needs determines how they should think, act and feel. This has implications, if the way of human production determines the direction of development of society. The thesis above is based on the theorem that it is not the mind that determines material strength, but the material strength that determines and influences human consciousness. However, the treatise to be proclaimed by Marx is exactly the opposite of the law he declared himself. If most people are trapped in their minds and consciousness by material forces, on the contrary, Marxist-prophetic messianism tries to free human minds and consciousness from the shackles of material forces. The historical law of the development of production was written so that we could rediscover our existence as subjects of history in a cycle of political economy that lacked masters and control. Marx has brought the message of salvation but not in the language of heavenly revelation but prophetic messianism based on secular knowledge and the rise of humanism. It can be criticized, corrected and revised so that it continues to roar in history, inviting those who are defeated by reality to move against the fate often created by the state and the material forces that support it, namely our own creation. So based on the Materialism-Historical thesis, pervading and inheriting liberation from the determination of material forces is the way of the fire spirit, which by Marxists, such as Erich Fromm (1900-1980), is called "revolutionary character."
Is that a revolutionary character? The first characteristic, this character stems from the theorem that human consciousness and thought are often determined by something foreign from the outside, namely the material forces, called revolutionary characters who free themselves from the co-optation, shackles and determination of material forces that exist outside. If someone has been possessed by this character, surely he will feel freedom from the influence of matter, because material such as attraction makes us always dependent and gives rise to a sense of heaviness. Material also triggers potential conflicts between people, which if not restricted, regulated and controlled will make us retreat and obscure our consciousness and thoughts. A person who is free from the gravity of material forces, of course, his mind and mind can function better than he is always dependent on matter.
The second characteristic, namely autonomy. Someone who is free from the shackles of matter will feel the swift life force in him. His thoughts, feelings, and actions always arise from within, so he becomes his own master. Humans can be said to be alive if their thoughts and actions are not forced by foreign forces from outside. He is a subject in himself, controller and master for himself. This is what distinguishes them from slaves, namely people whose thoughts and actions are always determined and forced by something from the outside. So, something that is transferred from outside is not alive, is not natural and has no moral quality.
The third characteristic of someone who is fed with a revolutionary character is that he is able to say "no" and has the power of criticism of resistance to society and the state which has decayed and lost virtue (arête). He often opposed the mainstream, became a rebel, was always dissatisfied and positioned himself independent of the influence of society on him. It is as if when he stands in the midst of society, the horizon disappears within him and it is not he who disappears swallowed up by the horizon. It always exists and influences the development of society, and not vice versa. This type of human being makes history and society a space of actualization for its natural potential. They are the greatest people in history, people who are able to develop their deepest potential, people who have reached the peak experience.
The three features of the revolutionary character I mentioned earlier are self-defense mechanisms that we must have if we are to be called the subjects of history, the rulers in their own homes. Like Louis Althussers' thesis (1918-1990), many people when he entered the state structure, he was transformed into objects such as anonymous and impersonal, his personality was lost in the structure of large and giant states. The structure of the state devours humans and makes it only a small screw of large parts that move themselves from the machine building. So, to regain historical control over the state and society, it is very important for us to build ourselves first into an independent and independent subject before fighting in the midst of the structure of the state and society.
