Christine's Disastrous Love Life: Chapter VIII - And he never understood the nature of the infidel!

A new town, a new office, new challenges, that was what Christine was waiting for from now on, trying to maintain a long-distance relationship, with the promise of a reunion, and that unfortunately never came, out of misfortune or maybe one day she found out that that boy with beautiful eyes had already got a new love and she simply decided to continue with her life, she had promised herself long before that this kind of thing would not affect her.

The Christmas holidays arrived and she went to visit her hometown, where she met the best friend of one of her cousins, Alex, a handsome boy, who like her was still going through the pain of a tradition, they became good friends and went out drinking almost daily, also on weekends they went out dancing, that was something Christine loved, dancing gave her life and kept her mind distracted, it was much better therapy than drinking.




Alex, although he was a very handsome guy and an excellent dancer, was not someone who aroused some kind of attraction in Christine, although he sometimes threw hints that she preferred to ignore because he also wanted one of Christine's cousins. During a visit to her hometown, Alex invited her to a pool party at the club, which she could not refuse, since the heat in those days was unbearable.




Some kisses and caresses went up in that outing, however, she did not accept that anything else happened, because she was thinking about her cousin, although she could not deny that she was very attracted to Alex, and although in a way she had become a woman who was not interested in the feelings of others, she was only thinking about How was it possible that having promised her cousin marriage a week before, she was wanting to take her to bed? At that very moment she understood that maybe what was wrong with her previous relationships had not been her for months and even years telling herself that, but that it was something natural.




Are men and women unfaithful by nature? Why tell a woman you love her and want to spend your life with her and then want to take her cousin to bed? I think she spent days asking herself that question, thinking also about what she had once done with Arthur and Degaulle. Until that day she accepted an invitation to Alex, a few months later he was marrying his cousin, a wedding she did not attend, the truth is that she felt a lot of anger towards him. Now Alex and Christine's cousin have a son and a few years of marriage and he still continues to tell her things when he sees her.

Is the human being unfaithful by nature? Or is it just a select group? These are the questions that Christine still asks herself
