Hello Friends,
It is rainy season here. Naturally, there is a lot of rainfall during the rainy season. Although the rainy season is quite pleasant to enjoy the rain, the mosquito infestation increases a lot during this time. Outbreaks of dengue virus carrying mosquitoes are particularly prevalent during this time. These are called Aedes mosquitoes. As the incidence of Aedes mosquitoes increases at this time of the year and as a result the number of dengue patients increases. So, through today's writing I will tell you several ways to get rid of dengue virus carrying mosquitoes.
First of all let us know some information about Aedes mosquitoes. The scientific name of Aedes mosquito is Aedes aegypti. These Mosquitoes are commonly found in many African countries and in some Asian countries.
An Aedes mosquito survives from fifteen days to a month depending on the environment. The easiest way to recognize this mosquito is to observe white striped spots on its legs and body. The different stages of Aedes mosquitoes are eggs, larvae, pupae and finally adult mosquitoes.
Usually female Aedes mosquitoes carry the dengue virus. Mosquitoes of other species, except these Aedes, usually breed in dirty water. But Aedes mosquitoes usually breed in clean water. These Aedes mosquitoes usually breed in stagnant water in different places like flowers vases, air conditioner and refrigerator water.
Female Aedes mosquitoes usually bite people in the morning and in the afternoon. Aedes mosquito bites usually infect humans with dengue virus and cause fever. In addition to fever, vomiting, headache and rash are seen all over the body.
Many people get treatment for common fever without getting tested for dengue fever. But especially in the rainy season, if someone has a fever, it should be identified by a proper blood test. This should not be neglected at all, especially in the case of children.
Now let's see how we can protect ourselves from Aedes mosquitoes. Dengue vaccines are now available in many countries. So it is one of the ways to prevent dengue fever. But I think prevention is the biggest way to cure. So we should be careful about the stagnant and clean water in pots, drums, flower vases, refrigerator and air conditioners. Here are few possible areas pictures where Aedes mosquitoes can breed.
And we should spray mosquito repellent medicines regularly. Then only our environment will be mosquitoes free and there will be no dengue fever.
Here all the pictures were captured using my iPhone except the first one.
Thanks.
Stay safe and healthy.
