I am a boomer now
Well, today I am officially 38 years old. For my birthday, I ordered two books from The Adventure Challenge a few weeks ago and I got the Family Edition one in the mail last night. Here is a quick video that explains what it is.
It is basically a book that has a bunch of different "adventures" for you and your family to do together to create some fun memories. The book is set up like a journal, and has space for a photo and has some space for you to write about the experience for each adventure.
I ordered the package that comes with a camera that takes instant photos because you are supposed to take a picture at the end of each adventure for the book as well.
So how does it work?
The book is set up with different adventure themes, like outdoors, indoors, cooking, or active. Then within the themes, there are a bunch of different ones you can choose from, but all you can see is the name of it that gives some sort of a description of what it could be, the time frame it could take to finish, the estimated cost to complete it and some other icons giving you some more insight about it.
For our first family adventure, I chose the food theme because I wanted to do something fun for my birthday dinner. So I chose one called "Not Yo' Grandma's Nachos" since I love nachos.
My daughter scratched it off to reveal the details of our challenge and this is what it said:
So now we are going to be making some awesome Luchadores masks and have some nachos tonight. Sounds like an amazing birthday party to me. I am going to try and get some pictures of us making the masks and the nachos so I can put together a post about how awesome our first Family Adventure was.
Anyways, thanks for stopping by and reading up about this new Adventure Challenge that my family and I are going to be starting to do. You are awesome!
