I'm learning photography so I can better my animation and film making. Which I'll post very soon, hopefully in the next day or so.
I haven't been on Steemit for about a year and it was just for a handful of posts. So really I haven't been active since 2017. This place changes so fast. It's such a strange and exciting experimental platform, but also confusing and overwhelming at times.
This past summer I started to pick up my Canon DSLR almost every day exploring my neighbourhood, visiting friends art studios, jam spaces or small business and snapping photos.
My friend's punk band Legit Heat!
There band jam space is next door to me and it's so loud!
The next door building is actually a local art gallery called the fifty/fifty art collective.
The gallery also has space in the back where they have events and the band jam space
They have a variety of different genre bands practice there 7 days a week from 6pm - 9pm.
Twice a month they also have late night rave parties from 10pm - 5am in the morning.
Additionally my live in studio is shared with a retail shop called Cavity that has live bands perform 2 - 6 times a month.
Perhaps it sounds a little like I'm complaining. Maybe a little, lol. Sometimes it can be a bit much with no peace and quiet. However it's not that bad after all and it kind of feels like I have company even if I don't always participate in all of the events. I'm grateful that I'm surrounded by so much creativity and inspiration.
I hope you enjoyed my beginner photography. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Thank you for your eyeballs.
