Hello everyone🥰
It's with so much happiness and pleasure to join you all on this wonderful HIVE Community.
My name is Emmanuel and some of my friends calls me "Emma." I'm 31 years old by age and I was born on 17th October, 1992 in Ikirun, a town in Osun State of the South Western part of Nigeria. Ikirun is a town well known for its cultural/religious heritage of the irele festival in the past, the "Molepe" annual celebration by Muslim faithfuls which holds exactly 5 days after Eid-el-Kabir and also, the abundance of Kolanuts as the major cash crop which is exported to the Northern part of Nigeria and also to some countries in the Western part of Africa. This Kolanut prominence and trade brought this town to prominence and hence a panegyric in Yoruba language fondly described as "Agunbe onile obi" meaning a land full of Kolanuts.

Also, Ikirun was also a major town in pre-colonial era because of its Train Terminus and railway which passsed through the town and opened it up to social amenities both of national and state interest such as the establishment of a Teacher's Training College (now School of Science) and a Federal Government College with some banking facilities, Post office etc. Growing up in Ikirun was fun and of notable memories among which was the start of my music journey and also an informal training on service/leadership.
I'm the last born of three children as well as a second male child and my parents are retired but not tired teachers who over the years has raised wonderful people in life. I was raised in an atmosphere of love, togetherness and of good moral upbringing and as it is with a typical southwesterner of Nigeria, strong value and much importance are attached to the society as well as communal living for the common wellbeing and civic responsibility of all.
I'm a cool, intelligent, jovial person with a good sense of humour. However, people misjudged me based on my facial expression which was wrongly perceived as stern but as people related with me over time, they found out this incredible side of me and this left many to be surprised and astonished. I remember when someone said to me that "So you can gist and be this jovial".😄
My hobbies/likes includes listening to Music, teaching/imparting knowledge, sporting activities especially football, cooking, reading, listening to news and a little bit of traveling. On several occasions i received commendations, positive comments and applause on my cooking prowness and esctasy as the food were said to be sumptous and delicious. Major challenge I faced while growing up include relating with other kids in the neighborhood especially those of bigger stature and of greater height due to my small stature then.
After about 18 years in Ikirun, I relocated to Osogbo, the State Capital of Osun State with my family which involves a new experience like meeting new friends, positive exposures and an upgrade to my music journey as I enrolled in a music school for a better grasp of contemporary music and music theory. I have had a passion for music right from been a teenager even while I was in Primary School and this i followed through to my Secondary School and University days aswell.
I have met with various musicians and fellow instrumentalists, vocalists, attended rearshals, played in a band, been at various events and programs, organised training sessions for free to intending learners and produced graduates well established in their intended musical career.
The journey and stories about my music career has been a beauiful and memorable ones. Part of the outstanding memories was the rendering of my musical composition in a program, coordination of instrumentalists as the leader, team work with media and sound experts etc.
Another part of me is the service and leadership part as I have served in various positions as the opportunity opens to serve and also I have been in leadership right from my primary school days till now. These service and leadership experience opens me up to building confidence, public speaking, team work, multi tasking, organizing, time/resources management, emotional intelligence, problem solving, self development, effective communication skill development etc.
Now, I'm married and I have a beautiful, elegant and intelligent wife who has been of immense support and encouragement to me. All along the journey of my life, so much grace, joy and experience I have gotten and one thing I believe and I can say is that, it can only get better and brighter if no matter the challenges/obstacles you may experience, you keep the right attitude to life and you encourage yourself and not get discouraged.
Positive attitude to life is the key, never thread the path of complaint, murmur, excuses, procastination or laziness.
Life is beautiful and fun when we do the things we love doing and willing/committed to do.
I love to serve people and I love to help people achieve there dreams because this is the essence of life.
