I'm super excited again to be on hive learners.
As the population of the world keeps increasing as a result of birth and many other factors, human needs simultaneously also keep increasing.
The competition for resources is on increase. Most human beings find it difficult to sustain life.
In the country where I live, the need for community development can't be overemphasized.
I will briefly outline some basic needs and how we tried our best to give our quota.
What calls for humanitarian and community development?
- Poverty
- Illiteracy
- Lack of social amenities
- Poor health infrastructure.
- ETC.
In the journey of life, I realized that it doesn't take silver and gold before you make an indelible imprint on people's lives.
Everything mustn't be tied to the government.
Besides the aforementioned, there are others however I highlighted those ones because we have made an attempt to alleviate some while I encourage everyone perusing this to deliberately be humanitarian and give as you have.
1 Poverty indeed has ravaged many and some could hardly acquire 3 square meals while some are financially incapacitated. This factor calls for intervention through any selfless people and the government.
I had the privilege to tour across lots of communities and literally saw what was happening.
Do you know that we had to forfeit our meals just to urgently salvage the situation? The children were famished.
Ensuring that food was shared to the children of the community visited
Hmmm because of the high level of poverty, clothes to cover the body was a great challenge. I remembered one of the men I met I instantly removed my shirt
I know there are different levels of poverty which include but are not restricted to; mind, economy, etc.
It wasn't just clothing we share but had counseling with them and trusting God for the transformation of their lives.
There are lots that someone can do to eradicate poverty.
Think of what you can do and start it now. You must not be the wealthiest in the globe before you venture into this.
2 Another tragedy is Illiteracy.
The educational background of many is not strong. Some are dropped out due to finances.
I had encountered many such challenges. I encouraged them and many have gone back to school while others have started.
Don't just live a wasteful life ensure you make an impact no matter how little it is.
Counseling session
There is a community we are trusting God to establish a school for them. This can begin with the extramural lesson or adult evening classes.
Education is key in sustaining any development. I want to encourage everyone reading my post to pick up this challenge and start something that can make impact on people's lives.
Education can be in any dimension as long as it will bring transformation in the lives of people.
3 Lack of social amenities is another significant challenge faced by the people.
An area that affects growth and development in society is the lack of social amenities. These amenities include good roads, electricity, boreholes, good markets, and many others. I can't categorically say that government has to do everything but I believe that individuals can do something. Most of these communards are loyal so when instructions are given they will carry it out. I think is high time we begin to enlighten the people to see the need for unity and community development.

The intention of this post is not to exonerate me and sound the trumpet of my achievement in community development but I just want to spur us on the need to arise and help communities, and individuals in need. This is a call for everyone to step up, and take responsibility for affecting lives. You are blessed to be a blessing to others. Now is the time. Be humanitarian and impact lives.
