En los últimos cuatro días de esta semana he estado viendo un maratón de películas del cine japonés (el cual me gusta mucho) por su capacidad de inventiva y las enseñanzas que ofrecen al público. Muchas de estas películas son conocidas por haber sido de gran trascendencia: El viaje de Chihiro, La Princesa Mononoke, Mi vecino Totoro y Ponyo.

In the last four days of this week i have been watching a marathon of Japanese cinema movies (which i really like) for its inventiveness and the lessons it offers to the public. Many of these films are known to have been of great significance: Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, My Neighbor Totoro, and Ponyo.

Lo cierto es que cada una de estas películas tienen en común el trato que los seres humanos brindamos a la naturaleza y la visión de la cultura japonesa hacia ella, puesto que siempre al representar cada uno de sus elementos lo realizan en forma de dioses o semidioses. Pues bien, recordar estas películas y sus reflexiones me hizo retomar un pensamiento respecto al trato que se le brinda a ella y la importancia que los humanos ofrecemos a la naturaleza.

The truth is that each of these films have in common the treatment that human beings offer to nature and the vision of Japanese culture towards it, since they always represent each of its elements in the form of gods or demigods. . Well, remembering these films and their reflections made me return to a thought regarding the treatment that is given to her and the importance that humans offer to nature.

Ante toda esta reflexión recordé la situación suscitada en mi país, Venezuela, en el cual se ha estado explotando de forma desconsiderada e irrespetuosa uno de los pulmones vegetales más importantes del mundo, seguramente habrán escuchado sobre el Arco Minero y las constantes y repetidas denuncias no sólo de organizaciones internacionales como la ONU sino también de ciudadanos que reconocen la importancia del cuidado de este lugar.

Given all this reflection, irecalled the situation in my country, Venezuela, in which one of the most important plant lungs in the world has been exploited in an inconsiderate and disrespectful way, surely you have heard about the
Mining Arc and the constant and repeated complaints not only from organizations international organizations such as the UN but also from citizens who recognize the importance of caring for this place.

Resulta que el Arco Minero no sólo ha sido una fuente de contaminación y daño a la naturaleza en la cual se han perdido millones de hectáreas y han fallecido millones de animales perdiendo su hogar, sino que también ha sido el epicentro de múltiples abusos a los derechos humanos de forma indiferenciada tal como lo narra la noticia expuesta.

Por otro lado las constantes noticias respecto al cambio climático y la sed insaciable de los gobiernos y gobernadores por el desarrollo de armamentos e instrumentos explosivos para hacer la guerra aquí, allá, en medio oriente, en Norteamérica, en Asia, En Suramérica... Y como no mencionar la reciente proliferación del Covid-19 en el mundo. Todo ello producto del miedo exacerbado, todo ello producto del daño a la naturaleza, todo ello producto de nosotros, el hombre que teme.

And not to mention the recent proliferation of Covid-19 in the world. Ante esta situación y los hermosos mensajes que ofrecen estas películas nacieron unas profundas ganas en mí de recordar a aquellos que parece que lo han olvidado, y recordar a quienes por momentos sentimos desesperanza de lo que sucede alrededor, el amor y el reconocimiento que le debemos a la naturaleza porque somos parte de ella.

Faced with this situation and the beautiful messages offered by these films, a deep desire was born in me to remember those who seem to have forgotten it, and to remind those of us who at times feel hopeless about what is happening around us, the love and recognition that we owe to nature because we are part of it.

La naturaleza nos brinda regalos diariamente y nos provee de todo lo que necesitamos para subsistir y nosotros también a ella, nuestra relación con ella no debería basarse en la toma despiadada y sin consideración de lo que ella nos ofrece, recordemos que una relación se construye desde dos polos en los cuales ambos ofrecen reciprocidad, ofrecen cuidados y cariños y esto es lo que ella nos está recordando constantemente. No obstante, a pesar de nuestras mezquindades ella continúa aportándonos todo lo que necesitamos.

Nature gives us gifts daily and provides us with everything we need to survive and we also to her, our relationship with her should not be based on the ruthless taking and without consideration of what she offers us, let's remember that a relationship is built from two poles in which both offer reciprocity, offer care and affection and this is what she is constantly reminding us. However, despite our pettiness, she continues to provide us with everything we need.

Pero, no nos rindamos, recordemos también que a pesar del egoísmo que aún existe hacia ella por parte de muchos, también existe lo bello y existe quien pueda recordar, quien pueda recordarnos el respeto y el amor hacia ella porque su respeto y amor es el que nos ofrecemos a nosotros mismos. Así que seamos como la Princesa Mononoke, seamos como Chihiro o como Sosuke y Ponyo vivamos en armonía y profundo reconocimiento hacia ella porque es parte de nosotros mismos y cuando tomemos algo agradezcámosle y también brindémosle amor.

But, let's not give up, let us also remember that despite the selfishness that still exists towards her on the part of many, there is also beauty and there is someone who can remember, who can remind us of respect and love for her because her respect and love is the that we offer ourselves. So let's be like Princess Mononoke, let's be like Chihiro or like Sosuke and Ponyo, let's live in harmony and deep appreciation towards her because she is part of ourselves and when we take something, let us thank her and also give her love.

Desde lo que consideremos más pequeño, incluso tan sólo tomar una simple planta, pidamos permiso a los árboles, abracemoslo, reguemoslo y digamosle que los queremos y sabemos que también merecen amor. Gracias a todos por leerme.
