I woke up early this morning, much earlier than I would on a Saturday usually, as I wanted to take a walk on the beach. I have a busy day ahead and won't get another chance.
It was drizzling with rain but cleared up and I enjoyed the walk, the quiet time, alone with my thoughts.
As I walked I focused hard on just being in the moment rather than what I have ahead of me in the rest of the day; I put that aside and really didn't think of much at all.
Over breakfast later it struck me that many don't have the ability to compartmentalize, to lock away all of those concerns, challenges and situations we are all faced with in life - Not forget them, just push them into the corner for later. I think it is an important skill to have though, as it allows one to connect more efficiently and effectively with oneself, to listen to ones inner-self, understand how one really feels.
I think this is important to do because if we are not right within ourselves, I don't think we can effectively deal with the stresses and pressures life presents and we can be less effective or productive in day to day life.
We can't always operate at one hundred percent efficiency, really do we ever?
For me, finding time to shut down, shift into neutral, and allow myself to recharge emotionally gives me a better chance hit one hundred percent efficiency moving forward, or at least, to be as efficient as possible.
I'm a busy person, with work, my private life, relationship, hobbies and of course hive however I always focus on being one hundred percent present in all things...Even if that is walking on the beach at 6am whilst clearing my mind.
I hope you all have a great weekend, and find presence in all you do.
Design and create your ideal life, don't live it by default - Tomorrow isn't promised.
Be well
