I had to jump on the challenge for the Hive business card for the Hiveph project hosted by @Acydio and you can see everything about the contest [here].
Designing is something I love doing but I have just a little knowledge about it. I love putting color together and creating images for my post on Hive has really helped me improve my designing skill.
There is much to my designs but I love to flaunt the little things I do on Canva. Upon seeing the contest, a lot of ideas kept coming to my head and I knew I will have to just try different designs before settling with one that I think will be good enough to submit as an entry for the contest.
I used the Canva app for my design due to the easiness and flexibility of the app.
The first step was selecting the page size I needed for my design.
I choose the Business card format which automatically gave me two pages for the front and back of the business card.
I worked on the two sides of the business card at the same time to prevent myself from doing the double tasks.
I gave both pages a background color first and it was hard choosing a particular one.
I downloaded the hive logo and removed the background on remove.bg so that the logo can blend in with any color.
I imported the logo on the colored background. The color was too bright so I used the transparency tool to reduce the visibility of the logo and I love how cool it was.
I imported a circle from the element to both sides. Only half of the circle was needed at the opposite end of both pages.
I imported the Philippine flag design from the element on Canva.
I imported the QR code as well from the elements on Canva.
The final stage was adding text and logos of the social handles, they were all taken from elements on Canva.

Thanks for going through the process with me, I hope my entry counts for the contest.
