Yesterday at around 23 pm GMT (7 am local time), Justin Sun was arrested in his Beijing apartment. According to a Sun’s neighbour, who rejected to reveal his identity but is known to a Reuters correspondent, special force commandos in masks entered the building, captured Sun and left in dark vans. Such a brief report could have been easily labelled as a piece of fake news if there wasn’t this suspicious tweet on Sun’s official Twitter. In addition, it was immediately retweeted by the TRON Foundation:

In case you wonder what does the hash tag mean, it is the unofficial slogan of China and its leading communist party “Serve the people”.
According to political observers and experts familiar with Chinese political situation, Sun was apparently arrested on the Communist Party leaders’ direct command. Such arrests are usually caused by lack of obedience of the businessmen involved. Shortly afterwards, the Party takes control over prisoners’ possessions. The timing may be affected by the current coronavirus crisis – Chinese leaders are seeking for opportunities to boost its suffering industry. By arresting Sun, the Party gains two important cryptocurrency projects – STEEM and TRON.
The conditions of the political and economic prisoners in China are, for sure, shattering. Many people decide to collaborate in order to save themselves. Suddenly, it seems the former sock-puppet master becomes a sock puppet himself soon.
