It matters who we go to when we are weak and frail. When it seems like you can't see from Point A to B, the person (s) in your corner at this point is important. It will affect hugely the outcome of that season of your life.
It matters where we go for comfort. It matters the source of our strength, joy and hope. It is necessary to make sure that the source is self-refreshing, because when you keep drawing and drawing without the source replenishing, it will be no more one day and you'll be left to wander. It is important that this source is genuinely energizing.
Where's the first place you think about to go when you're at an all time low?
Who's the first person you want to talk to?
Where do you go to get healing from a bruised wounded, battered and shattered spirit and soul?
These evaluations are necessary.
It's easy to make wise decisions when our heads are in the right places but when you're in a dark, messed up place, taking wise decisions are herculean tasks.
Do all you can to have the right kind of people around you because it matters the kind of persons that advice you when you're really in a confused state.
I hope it's the people that really love you and truly care about you and would love nothing better but to see you be who you were created and called to be.
May it not be persons who are just there when the going is good and can't wait for things to go awry so they'll advise you while rotating their head a little bit to the side to laugh at your predicament.
Over the past weeks, I've got to see and hear about people in abusive relationships that do not have the strength to leave. The know they should leave but they don't know how to go about it.
Sometimes, you need people that will speak sense into your head. If you don't still get it, they anoint you and break the yoke, remove the veil by fire and by force, because most times, this thing is not physical.
Every time I get to look around me and thank God for the people I have around me. There are not perfect persons but they do a good job at keeping me sane.
Hope you had a good day!
