Greetings! I am 
Long ago I was very active on Steemit, during that time I met so many great people and learned a whole lot! As a crypto newbie and general dweeb, any social media can be daunting for me, particularly a blockchain based one! However, I always found so much support and encouragement on Steemit. During my time there I received so many nudges to expand my writing, try new things, and participate in writing contests both in the community and elsewhere. I am overjoyed that it appears this culture of lifting each other up is thriving and well on Hive! The lure of a decentralized social media platform speaks to many of my personal beliefs, so I am thrilled to make a new home here!
In the time since I was last on Steemit, my life has changed a lot... which is really the only reason I stopped logging on in the first place. Marriage, children, homes, pandemics... They all alter your life considerably! Although my keys and the friends I made became lost to the ages in the muck and magic of new experiences, I feel the time I spent on Steemit stayed with me.
I continued writing while pursuing a better understanding of self, and my intertwinement with the world. Welcoming two children into our lives has been a myriad of wonderous highs and challenging lows that disassembled and remade me. I've found seemingly endless opportunities to learn alongside my children, and to explore what it means to be on this rock through refreshed eyes.
