Para los que no me conocen quiero comentarles que actualmente trabajo dos días a la semana en una prestigiosa institución pública de la ciudad de Barquisimeto, se trata de la U.E.N “San Francisco Javier”. La cual celebró su aniversario número 50 y lo festejamos de la siguiente manera.

Desde el comienzo del año escolar, específicamente el 16 de Septiembre se comenzó a planificar lo que iba a ser la celebración del 50 aniversario de nuestra institución. Antes de comenzar a contarles todo lo concerniente a la fiesta, es importante conocer sobre los orígenes de este centro educativo; dicha institución data de muchos años más de fundación como colegio privado, pero hace exactamente 50 años fue convertida a institución pública, la misma fue creada por un grupo de misioneros católicos de la orden jesuita que llegaron a Venezuela provenientes de España. Como ya comente al principio fue un colegio católico administrado por la orden jesuita contando con directores sacerdotes, después en un convenio con el Ministerio de Educación de Venezuela pasó a ser público pero manteniendo lo que llamamos la “Mística Javeriana” y es una educación de calidad resaltando valores.
Since the beginning of the school year, specifically on the 16th of September, we began to plan what was to be the celebration of the 50th anniversary of our institution. Before we begin to tell you all about the celebration, it is important to know about the origins of this educational centre; this institution dates back many more years of foundation as a public school, but exactly 50 years ago it was converted into a public institution, it was created by a group of Catholic missionaries of the Jesuit order who came to Venezuela from Spain. As I mentioned at the beginning, it was a Catholic school administered by the Jesuit order with priest directors. After an agreement with the Venezuelan Ministry of Education, it became a public school, but maintaining what we call the "Javeriana Mystique", which is a quality education that emphasises values.

Dentro de la programación construida para celebrar este aniversario, constaba de dos días 01 y 02 de diciembre. El primer día, se comenzaba con la bendición por parte de un sacerdote de la comunidad, entonación del Himno Nacional y el Himno del Estado Lara por parte de la estudiantina de la institución, seguidamente se entregaron reconocimientos a estudiantes y deportistas destacados, presentación de una estudiante de 2do año que cantaría música venezolana.
The programme to celebrate this anniversary consisted of two days, December 1st and 2nd. The first day began with a blessing by a priest from the community, the singing of the National Anthem and the Anthem of the State of Lara by the student band of the institution, followed by the presentation of awards to outstanding students and sportsmen and women, and a presentation by a 2nd year student who sang Venezuelan music.
Después de la presentación de las actividades en la cancha, habría una Expo-Feria donde los estudiantes realizarían un stand para exponer los trabajos que realizaron en integración de las áreas conjuntamente con los docentes de cada especialidad. Es decir, por ejemplo en el área de ciencias sociales que son Geografía, Historia y Ciudadanía (GHC) conjuntamente con Formación para la Soberanía realizaron periódicos murales donde resaltaron la vida y obra de San Francisco Javier, si como también resaltaron la historia de las civilizaciones mediante diagramas de Ishikawa, o también conocido como espina de pescado, donde tocaron temas muy interesantes como el socialismo de China, Corea del Norte y el capitalismo de Reino Unido.
After the presentation of the activities on the field, there would be an Expo-Feria where the students would set up a stand to exhibit the work they had done in the integration of the different areas together with the teachers of each speciality. For example, in the area of social sciences, Geography, History and Citizenship (GHC), together with Formation for Sovereignty, they made murals highlighting the life and work of Saint Francis Xavier, as well as highlighting the history of civilisations through Ishikawa diagrams, also known as fishbone diagrams, where they touched on very interesting topics such as the socialism of China, North Korea and the capitalism of the United Kingdom.

Por otra parte, en el área de matemática y educación física, presentaron laminas gigantogràficas con cálculos estadísticos sobre la edad, estatura, masa corporal y también realizaban la presentación oral de cómo se calculaban estos datos estadísticos, así como también la interpretación de los datos obtenidos.
On the other hand, in the area of mathematics and physical education, the students presented giant graphs with statistical calculations on age, height, body mass and also made an oral presentation of how these statistical data were calculated, as well as the interpretation of the data obtained.
La siguiente área de integración fue mi querida Ciencias Naturales en las que se trabajaron Física, Química, Biología, Ciencias de la Tierra y una participación especial de Ingles. Los jóvenes crearon juegos didácticos donde integraron un tema de cada área y presentaron las instrucciones del mismo en inglés y español. Los mismos procedieron construir un juego, colocándole un nombre creativo e innovador presentarlo dentro del aula de clases y luego en reunión de docentes elegiríamos uno, en vista del excelente trabajo que realizaron los chicos tuvimos que escoger dos e incluso en una sección tres, porque la verdad es que los construyeron con tanta calidad que era un desperdicio no mostrarlos.
The next area of integration was my beloved Natural Sciences in which they worked on Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Earth Sciences and a special participation of English. The youngsters created didactic games where they integrated a topic from each area and presented the instructions in English and Spanish. They proceeded to build a game, giving it a creative and innovative name to present it in the classroom and then in a teachers' meeting we would choose one, in view of the excellent work done by the children we had to choose two and even in one section three, because the truth is that they built them with so much quality that it was a waste not to show them.

Cabe resaltar, que por sección los jóvenes debían construir su Stand donde la imaginación, creatividad debían jugar un papel primordial. Desde el momento en el que entrabamos a la institución ya se hacían sentir los arcos de globos, mesones, manteles, los trabajos expuestos y por supuesto un refrigerio que los jóvenes obsequiaban a las personas visitantes que se detenían en los stand a deleitarse con los trabajos realizados por los chicos, así como también a escuchar sus participaciones, e incluso motivaban a las personas a jugar y responder las preguntas de los juegos didácticos de ciencias naturales y les daban un premio que se trataba de alguna golosina.
It is worth noting that the young people had to build their own stand in each section, where imagination and creativity played a key role. From the moment we entered the institution, we could already feel the balloon arches, tables, tablecloths, the exhibited works and of course the refreshments that the young people gave to the visitors who stopped at the stands to enjoy the work done by the children, as well as to listen to their participation, and even encouraged people to play and answer the questions of the didactic games of natural sciences and gave them a prize in the form of a sweet.
Por otra parte los demás años, desde 1ero hasta 4to también realizaron sus presentaciones, pero sin duda alguna los chicos de 3er año fueron quienes se robaron el show porque en integración de las áreas como Física, Química, biología y Grupo de Participación (Mercadeo) en sus presentaciones realizaron productos de limpieza como cloro, desinfectante, cera, entre otros. Ellos, construyeron en física todas las conversiones y en mercadeo diseñaron las etiquetas y el eslogan para sus microempresas, que se trataban de los stands, cuando la gente se acercaba ellos les vendía los artículos y además hacían ofertas y tenían obsequios para quienes compraban los combos completos.
On the other hand, the other years, from 1st to 4th also made their presentations, but without a doubt the 3rd year students were the ones who stole the show because in the integration of areas such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Participation Group (Marketing) in their presentations they made cleaning products such as chlorine, disinfectant, wax, among others. In physics, they built all the conversions and in marketing they designed the labels and slogans for their micro-companies, which were the stands, and when people approached them they sold them the articles and also made offers and had gifts for those who bought the complete combos.

Finalmente, puedo concluir que la actividad quedo muy bella y de verdad que felicito principalmente a esos jóvenes que día a día luchan contra todas las adversidades de este país por prepararse y salir adelante, protagonistas de esta publicación, también quiero extender esas felicitaciones a todos los docentes que acompañaron y guiaron a los estudiantes en la elaboración de todos esos maravillosos trabajos, al cuerpo directivo quien ha sabido manejar todas las situaciones y como gerentes trabajan porque esta institución siga siendo una de las mejores y proporcione una educación de calidad, por último felicidades a los padres y representantes de todos estos jóvenes, que son el futuro de este país.
Finally, I can conclude that the activity was very beautiful and I really congratulate mainly those young people who fight every day against all the adversities of this country to prepare themselves and get ahead, protagonists of this publication, I also want to extend these congratulations to all the teachers who accompanied and guided the students in the development of all these wonderful works, I would also like to extend my congratulations to all the teachers who accompanied and guided the students in the elaboration of all these wonderful works, to the board of directors who have known how to handle all the situations and as managers work so that this institution continues to be one of the best and provides a quality education, and finally congratulations to the parents and representatives of all these young people, who are the future of this country.
