Some pictures from april this year. They are taken by the fjord further out from where I live, around 50 km. Here widen the fjord out towards Vestfjorden and have a more naken and open coastline. When the weather is bad it can be quite windy here when the shit weather hit us from the north-west.
It was not much wind this day, but as usual a cloudy day with rain showers in the air. The area where I live was one of the coldest places in Norway in april. The highest temperature one of the days was 8,4 degrees celcius. There have also been around 25 % more rainfall than normal in april. With lots of snow and low temperatures the snow melt slowly. I am prepared for a late summer this year.💦
The pictures above i taken outward the fjord, to the west. In the far end you are close to the Lofoten.
A jawbone, probably from a moose.
View to the east. Narvik is located around 30 km behind the low clouds and fog to the left.
A tree has grow big and survived the harsh climate.
Even we have days with bad weather I have no reason to complain. I have a great life, a job, food on the table and a dry, warm house. But as a northerner, complain about the weather is one of my rights.😃
Wish you a sunny day and evening.
Best regards.
Harald
