Sigo practicando cartografía artística con la tableta y distintos programas. La primera imagen está elaborada con Photoshop y lo que hice fue, sobre todo, probar probar los sombreados mediante líneas a las que luego les pasaba el filtro "Mediana" para esparcir y mezclar, y luego aplicaba "Detalle" a tope de los filtros "Photo Raw", para eliminar la sensación borrosa que deja Mediana.
I continue to practice artistic mapping with the tablet and different programs. The first image I made with Photoshop and what I did was, above all, to test the shading with small lines to which I then applied the "Median" filter to extend and blend, and then applied "Detail" to the top of the "Photo Raw" filters, to eliminate the feeling of blur left by Median.
La segunda imagen la hice con el programa de ilustración Clip Studio Paint, del que he visto que puede tener mucho potencial para este tipo de trabajo concreto.
The second image was made with Clip Studio Paint illustration software, which I have found to have a lot of potential for this particular type of work.
Para empezar, en una capa dibujé unas cuatras pirámides con líneas azules para usar como base del esbozo. Esas serían las montañas, que luego se unirán con crestas. A partir de ellas, en otra capa comencé a dibujar, ya con un pincel de lapicero, la forma básica de las montañas y la unión entre las cumbres, y marqué un sombreado básico con líneas, para guiarme a la hora de darle color.
To begin with, on one layer I drew four pyramids with blue lines to use as the base of the sketch. Those would be the mountains, which will later be joined with ridges. From them, in another layer I began to draw the basic shape of the mountains and the union between the peaks with a pencil brush, and I marked a basic shading with lines, to guide me when giving color.
Para pintar usé pinceles de acuarela, con una opacidad media y con modo de fusión "Multiplicar". Después le pasé diversos pinceles de mezcla de pintura. El último paso fue crear otra capa superior, y perfilar el dibujo y añadirle los detalles, con varios pinceles de lapicero y carboncillo. Solo quedaba borrar la pintura sobrante y eliminar las capas con los dibujos de esbozo. Y el resultado fue este:
To paint I used watercolor brushes, with medium opacity and "Multiply" blending mode. Then I used several paint blending brushes. The last step was to create another top layer, and outline the drawing and add details, with various pencil and charcoal brushes. All that was left was to erase the leftover paint and remove the layers with the sketch drawings. And the result was this:
He quedado bastante contento. Sé que tendré que acostumbrarme a hacerlas más pequeñas, pero, de momento, lo que me interesa es aprender a dibujarlas, tanto sobre el papel como con diversos programas digitales.
I've been quite satisfied. I know that I will have to get used to making them smaller, but, for the moment, what interests me is to learn how to draw them, both on paper and with various digital software.
