I have been making updates regarding situation here in my country. It's already the 22nd day of enhancing community quarantine, and so far, I am getting used to it. For sure once quarantine was lifted, it would be another adjustment as we try to get back to our activities, and normal lives.
Number of Cases
Here in the Philippines, as of this writing, 3,660 was recorded as positive. Only 73 has recovered, while 163 total of deaths. As you can see, only small percentage has recovered, and deaths are higher. Some of them are even front liners such as doctors.
In our province, Pangasinan, there are a total of 29 cases, 8 has died, and 21 are confined. There are a total of 89 persons under investigation (PUIs) at the moment, 47 of them has finished quarantine, and are considered recovered.
In our village, the two Covid19 cases are still confined. I just hope that they will recover. The two patients are related and had close contact with the first patient who has died. They just live 180 meters from our place.
Extension of Quarantine
President Rodrigo Duterte has announced he is considering extension of quarantine from the original April 14 to April 30. It would be longer but if that can help to stop the spread of the virus, why not? But hopefully, they will reconsider giving support to people since they don't have a job.
Surviving
I am glad that I am surviving. I am thankful to God for providing our daily needs. It's just me and my brother in the house so it's not that difficult to get by. We still cannot go out of our village, but my brothers from another village are supportive. Never mind what the government do. Those distributing the relief goods skipped on our house, while they are giving our neighbors with big houses. Just so disappointed.
