Hi everyone
When I first heard of the program, it was so exciting to see that something existed to help newbies lessen the learning curve in this big platform. I got interested and applied, and stayed hopeful to be selected, my only source of hope being the beautiful banner given to me by 
Somehow, I got a mention in my notifications and when I checked it, I had been selected.
Now my next 3 months will be dedicated to this initiative and so much I ll need to have a plan to forge through with all that is required of me.
Hence my joy and excitement at the first task given. Indeed it is best to know what I really need to target in this program and also to putting it writing. This give me the notion that the initiative means serious business and I don't expect any less.
My Goals for joining the Newbie initiative are SMART GOALS
I have a long time worked with this acronym and have seen just how it can be really helpful.
The term is an acronym usually attributed to Peter Drucker to make sure our goals are clear and easy to achieve.
Where
S- Specific, Significant, Simple and Sensible
M- Measurable, Motivating
A - Achievable, Attainable
R - Relevant, Reasonable, Result based
T - Time bound, Time Cost, or Time Limited
So I have conformed to this again and here are my goals and how I plan to achieve them.

A## . LEARN HIVE
Hive to a newbie like me is quite complex and could get complicated if one does not settle down to learn from such initiatives as this. I realise how steep the learning curve can be. This is why I appreciate the organizers of this 
My first goal is to learn from them and gain sufficient knowledge to do the other goals set. My aim is to excel in every test of my knowledge of the platform as well as my input from posts and comments. I believe in them and their reputation to be able to pass across their experiences and to test my knowledge.
This is Relevant and Realistic as I would need to have gotten sufficient knowledge to continue to enjoy my stay here and also invite more people into the system by the end of the 3 months program.
## B. EARN HIVE
Well not just HIVE but every form of earnings on the HIVE Wallet and HIVE engine. I m quite excited about the introduction of the HIVELIST which would spur more earnings. My aim for this goal is to have 1000HP by the end of 3 months of this initiative. And I am determined to work towards it. At the writing of this post I have 47HP With 40 HP delegated.
C. ENGAGE HIVE
It is very true as I have also found that HIVE is a social platform and must be used as such. I have interacted with people from various works of life within my very short period of activity. However I believe there is more to learn from the initiative. So I plan to increase my engagements and this can be measured from my Comments, Connections and Reputation. I plan to reach a reputation of 70 by the end of 3 months. I believe this is achievable. My reputation now is 54
D. GROW HIVE
This will be me contributing to the growth of hive by promoting both within and without. This I plan to do by on boarding, staking and investing. So far I have been having challenges with on boarding people, although I know a few of my friend who will join soon. I can tell I could have done better. Hence I intend to download as much as possible ways of inviting and educating people about HIVE and to have at least 10 new members on the HIVE platform and ensure their consistency. As at now I do not have any referral.
E. IMPROVE ME
So it is not all about HIVE, as social as it may be, my Social wellbeing which is an integral part of my health and life has to improve in the real world. I intend to consume as much health content from the blog and not just engage them but apply to to real life and also produce healthy contents that can be beneficial for any who reads through my blog. I intend improving my writing skills like 
I hope you do not think that I have set too high goals, I actually believe that much in HIVE and the Newbie Initiative.
Hence I have ensured that this goals are SMART.
They are Specific, simple and easy to understand, significant and straight forward.
They are Measurable, Extremely motivating and meaningful.
They are all achievable, and I can agree with them everyday I wake up, that they can be attained.
They all fit into the relevance of the HIVE BLOG system. All result based and realistic.
They are Time bound, and I believe 3 months is enough time to soak all that needs to be learnt for a newbie.
# CHALLENGES
Yes there will be challenges, but I know that they are not there to limit me, it all depends on my imagination and I expect them to come.
A . ## Power Supply:
While writing this I was late on posting a few articles because my laptop had been down and sadly with a poor battery life. I hope to surmount this by creating an alternate source of power or maybe a Tesla battery or a solar cell, since I can't really rely on the power supply in Nigeria.
B. ## Time Management:
Ever since I hopped into hive, I have been working diligently on this, managing my work time and Hive time and often mixing them up and causing a mess. I m at the phase of integrating Hive into my schedules and I sure this will work out well.
C. ## Funds:
I know that to thrive fast on this platform, some form of investments can give a boost and even tho the spirit is willing,but the pocket is weak.

So I m hoping to put much to work to getting this challenge out, I am also open to donations and suggestions actually.
In Summary
I have listed out my SMART compliant goals and aim for this HIVE NEWBIE INITIATIVE. I have categorized them into 5 folds, which are to learn hive, earn HIV, engage hive, grow hive and improve myself. They are all Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and very much Time bound. I have also outlined 3 major challenges I plan to face and overcome, Power supply, Time management, Funds.
I can't wait to get to work on these.
I hope you all agree with me and will help me in my pursuit to achieve this feat.
