The first week of our baby's life has been a busy one. We're settling into a routine now, and it's been exciting to get to know him better. So far he seems like he'll be happy and healthy!
Baby Ethan is now Home from the Hospital
You’re coming home! It’s time to get our baby home from the hospital and into a real bed. It is very overwhelming, but we know we can do it! We will be a great parent and we have support from family, friends and co-workers.
Getting Baby Ethan Home:
We organized our stuff as per the nurse's instructions on how to care for our baby at home. They are easy to follow. For example, if there is something specific about changing diapers or feeding times, we make note of this so that there is no confusion when time comes to do those tasks as well, ensuring my wife has all the necessary information available during those early days back in familiar territory (i.e., home).
Ethan's new Crib
It's hard to believe that even though Ethan hasn't even been born yet, we are already getting ready for his arrival and now he is in front of us. We wanted him to have the best crib, and after much research and consideration, we settled on the BabyGro 4-in-1 Crib (we'll tell you how it's going).
The Babygro 4-in-1 Crib has some wonderful features:
It can be used as a traditional crib, then converted into a toddler bed or day bed as well. All of these options are great for when your child grows up and moves out of their nursery.
This crib is also very safe because it has an adjustable drop side rail that prevents falls when toddlers climb out of bed on their own. There’s also an integrated gear lock system that keeps the side rail securely in place until you release it manually with one hand—this feature is especially useful if you have another child who could attempt to climb over the rails themselves! In addition, this unit features rounded corners which help protect little fingers from getting hurt while playing around inside it every night before going back home from work...
Takeaway:
So, the crib is a great choice for a baby, a kid and an adult. It's also very easy to assemble and disassemble. You can take it apart and move it around if you want to. However, keep in mind that this crib isn't designed for kids who are older than two years old because they might outgrow it quickly or get hurt by climbing over the sides of the crib without realizing how high up they are in relation to ground level.
If your child is still growing fast or has trouble sleeping well at night, then this is definitely worth looking into!
First time changing Ethan's Diaper
It's been a long day, and our baby needs a diaper change. How hard can it be? Well, Just like the most of us, it turns out that changing diapers is much harder than it looks! But with the right tools and technique, We found that changing diapers quickly becomes second nature.
Changing Diapers in our own way
Change the baby's diaper. This is easier if he is laying on his back or stomach.
Wash your hands with soap and water before and after changing the diaper.
Put on a diaper cover over the clean diaper for protection against leaks and messes or go straight for underwear (for older babies).
Some other Stuffs we Bought for Ethan
- A weird looking fan that can be clipped anywhere using its three tentacles. You can adjust the fan speed by pressing a button at the back portion, and it is also rechargeable using a USB type-C port.
- Baby pillows with animal print and a big C-shape cushion for breastfeeding. We packed these in resealable plastic cellophane because we bought them before Ethan was born, and we don't want them to get dusty by the time we use them.
This is what it's like to have a new baby!
We have just spent the last few months preparing for this moment. We know our baby's needs will change every day, but we are ready to handle anything that comes our way. We are ready to take care of this little person that has been so carefully created with us in mind—and that means everything from changing diapers and feeding him around the clock, to holding him close in those early days when he can't see out too far on his own yet. It's an amazing time!
Welcome to the world, little guy! We’re so excited for you!!
