Hello Hive community! Greetings from Thailand, Land of Smiles:) I have heard about Hive for a while but I haven't started my post until now; that's because I was too worried that my English skill is not good enough to write. But fortunately, I have many western friends who are happy to teach and help me, and I'm certainly grateful for that! 🙂 Furthermore, I know if I do not start now I never will! So this is my first post on Hive, and I also think this it's a good opportunity for me to practice my writing skills. However, let me tell you a little more about myself.
I'm a Jungle Girl!
My name is Tipp and I'm from the north of Thailand, Mae Hong Son. It's a small province. I was born in a small village and grew up closely with nature. There are a lot of trees, water, and mountains. My village has their own language called Lawa, and Lawa is also the name of my tribe. So even though I am Thai, Thai is not my first language. My favorite thing to do is travel, I think a lot of people on Hive share this interest 😉. I have been traveling since I was a student. I really enjoy seeing new things, new places, and new people. So I have joined this community to share my journey with all the amazing people on this wonderful platform and I am looking forward to making new friends here!
I chose the name because that is where I come from, the jungle! There are even wild tigers nearby that we must be careful of! But I love it here, everything is clean, fresh, and natural. The weather is very nice too. The air is probably some of the best quality in the world, except when the farmers start burning their bio-waste around March each year, but that only lasts for a short while. Being up in the mountains it is kind of cool for most of the year, while other parts of Thailand turn into a sauna. I also have some special skills that I learned from my parents. Such as making handmade bags, clothes and of course cooking our traditional food. I love where I am from. I am proud that I am Hilltribe, and I'm proud to be a Jungle Girl! And all this makes me UNIQUE :).
Let me show you where I am from and some photos of my journey. Come along and take a closer look!
