All countries definitely have their own unique way of celebrating independence or big holidays for countries that were once colonizers, especially as our country, Indonesia, has a history of being colonized by other countries and our independence was not given but was fought against by countries that colonized even after independence they still want to colonize our country again.
August is the happiest day for all Indonesian people, because there are great historical moments from some of our previous heroes, especially the ulama', santri, presidents Ir. Soekarno and Bung Hatta, as well as other fighters, we cannot mention them one by one here. Thus, to hold this independence event, Indonesian people are different in celebrating the month of independence, there are various kinds of competitions, artists, music, various religious events and even concerts too, but what is more vital, of course, is when on August 17, all Indonesian people celebrate the same thing, namely the ceremony of raising the red and white flag, as a symbol of our country's colors, which is held at around 8 am until finished.

that's the video after the santri style Indonesian independence ceremony, when we were at the Islamic boarding school, the ceremony was usually only twice a year, first on August 17th and on Santri Day which was October 22nd, please understand, at our Islamic boarding school it was only strong in studying religious knowledge, classical books and religious services for a long time, but at least we also know that remembering the services of ancient heroes is not just a prayer in worship, it also follows the general standards carried out by the general public in Indonesia, namely ceremonies flying a red and white flag, red which is a symbol of blood: with thousands of liters of blood of previous warriors fighting to the last drop of blood, and white as a symbol of bones: which means working hard physically, mentally and even spiritually, united in the body and soul of the Indonesian people.
