A few days ago I went to our district town Comilla on a personal mission. I travel this road often. Every time I go, I am fascinated by the sight of this flower.
This highway basically extends from Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, to Chittagong, the commercial capital of Bangladesh. Hence the name Dhaka-Chittagong Highway. At the direction of the Government of Bangladesh, the Ministry of Roads and Communications has easily caught the attention of the people by planting different types of flower trees and fruit trees on the island of Dhaka-Chittagong Highway. Everywhere from Dhaka to Chittagong, on the island of the highway, different types of flowers easily catch the eyes of the passengers traveling on this highway. Especially up to Comilla area of the highway, most of the flower trees are planted.So the travelers are very happy to be able to enjoy this beautiful view.
Seeing the island on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway, it looks like a colorful road island in a flower fair. The island of Forlane on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway is adorned with flowers of various colors including red, white and yellow. Since the Dhaka-Chittagong highway is next to it, the passengers are traveling every day seeing this immense beauty.
Added as an additional beauty is the commemorative sculpture "Juddha Joy" of the great liberation war of Bangladesh in the Alekhachar section of Comilla on the highway. Whose architect is Dr. Ejaz A. Kabir. This commemorative sculpture carries the memory of the great liberation war of Bangladesh. Comilla City Corporation authorities have added to the beauty of the highway by planting flower trees around the sculpture. When someone's sees this environment very early in the morning or in the afternoon when a traveler sees this beauty of blooming flowers, someone's mind becomes strong in an instant.
One of the reasons for planting flowering plants is that without increasing the beauty, the light from one side should not come to the other side and cause an accident, so this low height flowering plant has been planted. In addition, steps have been taken to enhance the beauty and keep the island free from occupation.
Various species of flower trees have been planted to the Secretary General. These include Haimanti, Kurchi, Togar, Radhachura, Kanchan, Sonalu, Krishnachura, Kadam, Bakul, Palash, Kabari, Cassia and Jarul etc. Thousands of trees of different species including Shishu, Akashmani, Chalta, Neem, Acacia, Haritaki have been planted. There is no way anyone would feel better if they really saw this scene. Every time I walk on this highway. If you see this beautiful scene again and again, your mind gets better easily. Thank you to the Bangladesh government for taking such a beautiful step.
