Here is the thing; being a writer and publishing content that can be viewed by people across the world may seem like a big task, but people have to write that content. Why can't you be among those people?
That's the same thing l said to myself the first time l created an account in a Crypto blogging platform.
I'm always impressed with the level of courage and creativity displayed by writers. They just go on to express themselves and share their ideas with people. I enjoy reading those but l never imagined that l would be writing something that people would find interesting to read.
I can still recall how it felt to publish my first blog post for the viewing pleasure of my readers. It took a lot of courage and push from a Pakistan buddy to click the publish icon but when l did, it marked the beginning of a new learning curve. I became a writer!
A year into writing and the whole writing experience is getting more interesting. I learned a lot to be grateful for and I'm ready to get better at this.
Thinking of my journey so far as a blogger is a reminder that l should never say never. The progress I made is a huge bonus to me. It strengthens my resolve about taking this to a higher level and I've had a good taste of how rewarding it can be to interact with people by power of my ink. Growing, developing and sharpening my writing skill is the ultimate thing I'm targeting.
How did l start writing?
It was on 4th July 2020 that l got introduced to Uptrend, a Crypto blogging platform that rewards writers with their community token, 1Up.
Then, l was serving my Country in their compulsory youth service scheme. At that time, l couldn't do much on my supposed role as a youth corper despite being deployed to serve in a bank.
Covid19 and the subsequent lockdown that came with it made everyone to seat at home with nothing worthwhile to do and earn. I was lucky enough to have secured a studio apartment before the whole lockdown became serious so, when things lit up, all l had to do was to sleep, wake up, listen to scary stats about infection/death rate. I also read rants about invisible palliatives.
Staying indoor at that time was a big deal because l didn't receive any remuneration from the bank for all the nine months l spent in lockdown. I was only surviving with the money l saved up before coming for service in addition to the stipend l was getting from the feds every month.
My search for remote earning Opportunity was what aligned me with someone that told me about Crypto blogging platforms.
Truth is, he did a very bad job with his hype and he got what he wanted because l used his referral link to join Uptrend and that was it. Every other thing l did there was solely based on my personal research, observation, trial and error. But I'm still grateful because God used him to introduce me to this writing world. I enjoyed interacting with writers from different part of the world and I've been able to meet mentors, friends, tutors, staffs, senior and junior colleagues.
Despite the geographical difference, all of these people and much more have been instrumental to my growth and development as a writer.
Nurturing my new found skill
I didn't start as a writer that publishes contents daily. I was rather slow in that aspect but l wrote authentic contents.
I think, within my first 3 months as a blogger, writing 3 blog posts per week was okay for me. I was more interested in reading and commenting. Even the reward for my contents was out of consideration. I just knew that l was earning upvotes and getting extra rewards from the Discord channel of Tiger Trend but l didn't know what Crypto was all about neither did l understand how it can be converted to my local currency.
I used the remaining part of last year to learn how to survive and carve out a niche for myself in crypto Blogging platforms. I learned this as a student of a virtual university that was created by . She invested a lot of her resources towards making sure that we will be qualitative in all our dealing and l'm proud of all l'm learning under her guidance.
Below are some of the certifications l got at different stages of my learning process;
From a Udemy Course prepared and freely released by her.
After completing my full training as a student of the university.
I became a hiver on 31st December 2020 with the support and guidance of
and my journey have been thrilling. All thanks to everyone in this place.
Special regards to all #dreemers that have been part of my learning process as a writer. I learned a lot within this first year and l hope to learn more from the virtual world.
