The sun sets on our small little hamlet as many teachers return to Igloolik to begin the (somewhat) early start of the School year. After 14 days isolated in Ottawa quarrantine hotels most were itching to get out and enjoy the evening sun unrestricted in the freedom of Nunavut. (Still covid free, but I can see that changing with the mass influx of Qalunaat. Aw shit I've gone local)
I was luckily standing in the harbor with my Nikon p900 with 83x zoom, so I was able to quickly zoom in onto this seal and snap one single photograph before the seal gently disappeared below the surface, leaving the faintest ripple to let us know he was there.
